Do you plan what will you do in a day?

I observe that when I plan things to do I ended up not accomplishing them and sometimes get disappointed. It's really hard to manage time, how about you are having difficulty managing your time or just do what you want and not plan at all?

Generally I try to plan my day, but like all plans they tend to be changed as the day progresses.

I think this is where discipline and practice come. If you decide to plan your day, you should have the discipline to stick to it. I know life throws you curve balls all the time, which may make you not keep your schedule, but still you have to have the discipline to keep at it.
And everyday to practice it. Surely there will come a day where you will surprise yourself that you kept your schedule.
Goodluck!

I've got a fairly hectic schedule, and I have mood swings throughout the day too, so if I decide to go shopping after work in the morning, it is very likely that by the time I've finished work, I just cant be bothered to do the shopping, so I'll leave it for another day. I really tend to just stick to commitments I've made with other people, like agreeing to go out, or pick something up for a friend. Apart from that, I like to keep things pretty flexible.

I plan the things I want to do for the day before I go to sleep because I want things to get organize. When at times I did not accomplish everything I just include them on my plan the following day. I just enjoy whatever things I accomplished and continue to make plans for the day.

As for me, I would like to make my work schedule everyday.I try to make everything goes smoothly, but you know there's always something unexpected. Anyhow,I still plan things to do as often as possible, but I choose to make room for the temporary accidents.

I kind of plan. I usually have a list of things I want to accomplish, but I don't have them in any particular order. I know which ones are most important, so I make time for them. Sometimes I will tackle a hard task early but other times I'll do several minor, quick things before I get started with the hard ones. If I didn't have a list, I'd never get anything done!

I agree with you that having a plan doesn't mean that it will surely turned out the way we want it to be. And most often, the more we plan is the more it is not having been done. That's why some people say that it is better not to plan at all. But for me, it is still better to plan ahead, atleast we would able to track the flow of things to be done and accomplish if not hundred percent atleast most of it.

I usually plan whenever i'm up for something important. If i'm not gonna do anything important, i just do whatever i feel. Planning the whole will get you disappointed nine times out of ten.

I'd like to make a plan, but it doesn't mean that I plan for everything I do,just for the important things I have to do within a certain time. For example, when I wake up in the morning, I would tell myself which tasks I must finish this day. And if I achieve that, I would do whatever I like.

I try to plan my day as best as I could, but sometimes I end up not following the exact plan as originally conceived. I make a lot of adjustments along the way or sometimes I make up things as I go along with the day.
What I really try to do is prioritize what I feel is a must that I do for that particular day. I plan my day around the most important stuff I have to do according to priorities.
I understand how you feel! Just give yourself a break and try to improve next time. :)

I'm so unorganized. I try to play things through the day, but end up always getting sidetracked. It take real effort to even stick to a plan after I make one out.

Hi,
It is good to have your things organized and planned in
advance,so when comes to the day, you know what to do and
it saves lot of your time.
Time is money,so I have to fully utilized my time ,even a second is
pretty important to me.
I always plan one day in advance on my next day programme.
Sometimes, it can be quite routine activity for me,but I have
to get it in my mind.
Since I am a full time housewife, I have to do my cooking everyday.
So I have to get ready those ingredients needed and think of
what to cook for the day.
I believe with proper planning, things can go smoothly.

I am that type of person who tries to plan what to do for the day. I make sure I have all things in check or else, I would actually have that kind of feeling in my stomach that's telling me that I might have forgotten something. I plan but most of the time, I come short of my plans. I postpone or try to do the things that I was about to do for the day and probably do it tomorrow or at some other time. The thing is i actually feel good when I fulfill all my plans, things to buy and things to do in just a day.

I usually play by ear. But for the most part of planning I will plan certain tasks or days like holidays parties or birthdays and special events. Even then in my planning there is room to play by ear. I like to leave myself time to breath or chage plan of action incase energency or mishaps and such.
I think Every other weekend I do more planning of things to do because that is when We get my step son, so I like to at least have one day planned in the weekend if something we can do as a family.

Hello vycess! To answer your question, yes, I do plan the things I need to do everyday so that I get to enjoy each day and at the same time accomplished things successfully. Although, sometimes, we cannot help but savor each day since not all things can be done according to our way or according to our plans. There are unwanted circumstances where we cannot control from happening, so we can't do anything but to accept it. Cheers!
