Do you think the society really needs a superhero?

I live in a 3rdworld country where i often hear the statement that we need a superhero to save us from our own ruins, i wonder why we need superhero to save us or correct what we did wrong when it was our own mistakes and we need to undo the crimes we did against nature, to give a better place for our future children. can't we really save ourselves that we have to depend to a superhero? or do we simply need an scapegoat to blame all of the wrongdoings that we've committed ourselves?

Ah, well, I guess there's a reason why superhero series are so popular, even in very well developed countries... everybody feels the need for a "chosen one" to come and rescue us, and, most importantly, to take the responsibility away from us.
On one hand, it's fun, I still watch movies with superheros, or read comic strips. On the other hand, it's a bit dangerous if we forget that these are not real, and they cannot be real, and we tend to place too much confidence with a politician who presents himself as a superhero.

I'm starting to think that we do need one. There are so many crimes happening that it really seems the police can't solve every one of them. It's also great if there's a symbol of hope for us cuz we really have a pessimistic side even though we say we don't.
