Lotto: Jackpot Prize Limit?

As far as I know the jackpot prize for the mega lotto 6/55 will breach 700 million pesos in tonights draw, as least per PCSO estimates.
However, I have heard some disturbing news about people moving for the PCSO to set a jackpot prize limit, and once breached, the prize would be turned over to PCSO's health programs for the poor.
I am all for giving health care for the poor but using the unwon lotto jackpot prize for it is absurd and as far as I know illegal! It would shake the already shaky reputation of the lotto as it was recently rumored that it is rigged as the former First gentleman has already won it twice.
What do you think?

Putting a limit to the jackpot is a joke. The main reason why people are flocking the lotto outlets is the jackpot. The higher the jackpot the longer the line is. There are even people who don't bet on the lotto not unless it's already big enough to try their luck.
So it's Mike Arroyo that has won two times already ... but we will never know for sure. But as the say, if there's smoke there's fire. There must be some truth to it since almost every one is saying that when the jackpot breaches the one hundred million peso mark, the person whose likely to win is GMA errr Mike.

I hope its not Pnoy. I agree with jerrami that the winning should be real person who deserves to win the prize and knows how to deal with it responsibly.
I agree with you ybong, there should be no limit unless they also set a minimum of .5b! hahaha

Hope they don't put a limit to it. Or else it won't be good for them. Hope I can win that lottery.

Yeah it would suck if they put a limit on it, it changes the whole systems and takes aways the thrill. It would make it look like cheap gambling stakes right?

I recently responded to one of the discussion here about limit on lotto prize. I disagree with that because people deserves what they pay for. People already giving for the charity from the moment they bet why need to set a limit. And as of now people are confident with this administration that it won't do about the funds, no magic like what they said.

I also agree with you that there shouldn't be limits. If they want to set the limits, it should have been set before the first draw, not when the prize has risen this much already.
I do hope that the winner won't be a politician though he might be after winning it! *wink*
