Well, it depends on you. Me, i study better at night when i study at all. If I study in the morning, I always feel sleepy so it feels like I don't absorb anything at all. I didn't really do a lot of studying when i was at school. I mean, like when there were exams, I don't really review as hard as my other classmates did. Some of them stay up until the wee hours just to memorize everything. Me, i just read while watching TV or listening to music. Lucky for me, I do pretty good on standardized tests so my grades were still pretty good even if i did not study too well.

Yup. There is that inertia to overcome in the early hours of the morning. Feeling sleepy and trying to be alert hasn't worked for me yet so I gave up on it. Maybe, a fixed schedule would be more appropriate rather than just a general choice between morning and evening hours. Studying when there is available time should be an imperative and studying little pieces of material may be best strategy in the long run.

I guess so. Your body clock gets used to your schedule so you don't really feel the sleepiness anymore. Yeah, that's better than cramming everything up in the last minute.

The best time to study for me is actually somewhere in the middle. The latter part of the afternoon or early in the evening, when my schedule allows it. I think that early in the morning, my mind is not going to want to process any information. Therefore studying is going to be a complete and utter waste of time. Anything that I look at will not be remembered for sure. And late at night, pretty much the same problems for me. There are going to be really nothing that is sticking in my mind. Of course, later in the night is better than early in the morning. Not that's saying much. If I had to choose one time, I would pick later at night rather than early in the morning. Still neither time is really good for studying for me, but that is just me personally.

For me, it's definitely morning. I think they have statistics for this that a lot of the people are able to study in the morning more, but I'm not sure. I usually like to wake up do a little stretching and exercise, eat, and then study so your mind is full and awake.

I think the best time to study is when you can summon all your faculties to give due attention to the study material. In other words, when there are no distractions and you are motivated to study. Frankly, the quality of the study materials influence your study time more than anything else. If the materials were designed to be memorized fast, any given time of the day will do because it is only a matter of encoding the material into your brain. It's when the study materials are messy that really consumes time so end up doing more with less than stellar results. So, you may want to structure your material during the day to prepare them for encoding at night and those tidbits of spare time we get during the day.

Hi, The best time to study is early in the morning. It is pleasant and calm early in the morning. To study early in the morning you need to go to bed early, because you have to wake up early and you need at least 6-7 hours of sleep for a effective and productive day. In my childhood and college days I used to wake up early in the morning and used to study. I am sure it works. Happy Studying Calpro

It depends on how my body feels. If there is major exam coming and my body won't let me sleep, I read my material over and over to review and retain some points and whatever I can before sleeping. If my body is already asleep, I leave my studying in the morning (or should I say midnight) since my brain and body are fresh and relaxed from my sleep. It also depends on the subjects - I usually read my not-so-favorites subjects in the morning so I can have a new perspective on them and hopefully, understand the topics better.

I think it depends on your body clock. I have friends who are day person and friends who are night person. Are you more awake in the morning or late at night? That will tell you which works better for you. If you are a day person, then it is more effective to study during the day. If you are a night person than it is more effective to study at night. Most of my friends who study better at night will take short nap during the day and study at night. Some would sleep early and set their alarm to wake up at 10 pm to study. Hope this helps.
