Keep it up, I am sure you will get more accepted. Maybe submit the articles to another site?

Suzie-
I typically share articles of interest to myself. I run a pagan advice column so a lot of my articles on Triond are around this category. I also have shared some of my poetry as well. I think it is always best to write about what you enjoy so that writing does not become a chore.
I also keep a small notepad with me so that if I am out and about and I get an idea I can jot it down before I forget it.

Thanks for the insight. I think one of my concerns is that if I write about something I love for another website, I won't ever be able to use the content again. Am I wrong about that? Are you able to use the same info on your advice column and articles, or do you have to keep them separate?
Glad you two got to meet!

CatGods-
Nice to meet you. The outfit I am wearing is by local tailor Felix Needleworthy here in Minnesota. http://needleworthy.com/ You can find some beautiful coats through him as well. In terms of patterns you could try this Simplicity pattern http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/patterns/sewingpatterns.pl?patternid=4380
or this McCalls pattern http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m4626-products-6340.php?page_id=993
I prefer to sew Simplicity but McCalls has some very historically accurate patterns. I find that with McCalls I simply need to read their directions then do it my own way. Sometimes they have you doing the silliest sewing things.

I write for both sites equally. It is my material so hence I maintain authorship rights. If my material is compiled into book format for example it would still be my authorship and my rights. If you have a question about it though I would simply send an email up to the administrator of Triond and ask his advice.

I will look for you. My name is the same there--Suzieqmom. It is hard enough remembering all the passwords, I figured I would just stick with the same name on my writing sites!

Good ideas! I am a fanatical reader, and love to write, too, but I think I am just nervous about this whole endeavor.

It depends. I been there for sometime now and to be frank, there are some topics that are hot and others who are not.
Write anything you can think of from love to life to travel. Anything you want!
However, here's are a few tips for you which are hot and which are not.
Poem an creative writing - not popular
Earning money / finance - good response
Travel - hot response
Food - average response
Good luck!

When I write something for Triond, I usually write about something that I'm interested in, or an idea that I find interesting. That's probably a good idea for you to do. I usually tend to get my ideas from things that I have read in a newspaper, or have heard from other people, and such. There are a lot of places where you can actually get ideas.

Are there guidelines on how to credit other sources, such as a news article you may have read on the web? I couldn't find any, but maybe I am looking in the wrong place. One issue that concerns me is that if I do get inspiration from other sources, that I don't inadvertently plagiarize their work.

Hello Suzieqmom, my ideas come from everywhere. Some may come from my last trip to Wal-Mart or a camping trip I went on. Others may come from news happens or something I accidentally came across while surfing the net. I go by the same name on Triond and I invite you to add me as a friend and read some of the articles I have written. This may give you a better understanding of what to do or perhaps inspire a few ides of your own.Good luck to you.

Dont worry. No offence but Triond has ABSOLUTELY no quality control. So write anything that comes in to your mind. Rip content from othr websites (like Hollywood Gossip) if u r that desperate.
I'll be honest with u, I have never ever made it in Triond but go see for urself, most articles there are promo and rather low on ACTUAL info.
Actually ur the first guy I've met who is actually worried about what to write on Triond. I honestly think it doesn't matter WHAT u write there just so long as u keep writing lots of content. Quantity is the byword with Triond.

I have been writing for triond for a little while now. Now I mostly write poetry and I put up my digital artwork on triond. Now when it comes to writing articles mostly what I do is I write on topics that I have an interest in. Now if I can not get into the groove on writing on what I have interests in I go to the suggested topics section of the submit section. Just to let you know you can also upload pictures and art work, and as well up can upload audio, and you can also upload video.

i get it from emotions, things i encounter, problems of other people, situations i see around me...and sometimes in what i read over the internet. i just don't pressure myself to have an idea pop in my mind, 'coz the more you pressure yourself the less idea you'll have.

That is my problem, I think. I am anxious and eager to start writing full time, so I think I am putting too much pressure on myself. Maybe I'll go shopping.
