Windows vs Mac

HI all, i know it has been an endless debate between windows and mac. I wanted opinions of many people and how they think about these two different platforms. Personally I prefer Windows for work and study while i prefer Macs for leisure and other mutimedia purposes. I also think that Microsoft is doing a great job because almost 95% of all computers use windows. Mac is getting more and more popular nowadays. What do you think?

i go for linux
and it seems like mac has incorporated the open source platform in the past
and windows is trying to incorporate it now
so i guess hands down it would be linux for me

linux is a good choice. Personally i've never used linux before because in my country(singapore) they mostly use windows and mac is getting popular too. anyway how is linux, is it suitable for a multimedia person like me? I might wanna try it soon. Thanks for the response :D

I think that linux is pretty good, but I does take some getting used to. You also have to find the right build of Linux for your skill level in computing and command line.

I don't know anything about Macintosh. I just read it just as my knowledge in computer subject. I never use it and neither bought it. All computer that I have ever used was Windows based. All of computer in my office has Windows operating system, both original and pirated edition

hi apples I like windows and am used to it but need to upgrade as I am
do notlaugh still on windows 2000 which was a great windows but I willhave to find the money to upgrade my computer to windows xp I'
think as my son has a laptop with windows xp and he really likes
it. on time warner cable internet I have to use a router too to use the'jack rabbit fast cable without the cable 2000 just doesn't connect well.but for now I am okay and love windows so much. I do not know much about Mac but have friends who swear by it. I just want window xp.

Windows Xp is probably the most stable and reliable of all the windows OS's. I don't really know about windows 7 and I have been using Windows Xp for the past 15 years, ever since I was a child. I never felt like leaving XP. I feels to be at home

I think that Macintosh wins. It is simpler to use and there is only one known virus for Macintosh computers, just in case you worry about that. Plus, most media companies use Apple computers, so you have better media programs for it.
