Quitting Job to Serve Fully in a Ministry

Do you think that some people need to quit their job and serve fully in a chuch? How would you know that you are called fully to serve the Lord? How does it reveal to you, will you just fell that or will there be any other signs that you are called to serve fully?

Not sure if it actually a calling or something someone captures as a need, as I never had this type of feeling.
But I did watch Opera last week, and from what I understood the nuns stating that most simply knew it was something they wanted to do since they were children. I believe it is a feeling one that they explore and find that it is exactly what they want to do.
