Thrillers were not really 'my kind of thing', but recently I have really started to enjoy reading them. I have really got into reading Harlan Coben books, they are SO addictive! Harlan Coben is an American author of mystery novels and thrillers. He is the only author to win all three of America's crime writer's awards - the Edgar Award, Shamus Award and Anthony Award. The plots of his books usually involve resurfacing of unresolved actions from the past like murders, fatal accidents, etc. Coben manages to create believable and yet interesting characters and to put them into situations that would seem far-fetched at best with less keenly detailed characters His books are generally fast moving and very entertaining. One of my favourites is 'Tell No One' - and I think that it is one of the best thrillers I've read. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next and read the whole book in a day. Coben is really clever, and skilful and his characters are well developed within the overall structure of the plot. The sub plots are intriguing, sinister and amusing all at the same time; like I said before I think this is a real achievement and not easy to do. The concept of the story itself was also fresh and different, the idea is unique and the imagination used in this novel is incredible. Do you like thrillers and if so who is your favourite author ?

I like mysteries. I like the Tony Hillerman Navajo mysteries; Ellis Peter's Brother Cadfeld mysteries; Lilian Jackson Braun's Cat Who... mysteries; Stuart Kaminsky's Toby Peter's mysteries; and the Janet Evanovich mysteries. And Sherlock Holmes, I like just about anything I've read about Sherlock Holmes...

I've not read any Sherlock Holmes books for years and years -- I did use to enjoy Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work, I loved The hound of the Baskervilles!

I do actually enjoy reading thrillers. It's really the sort of book that I just actually like. Along with thrillers, I do enjoy reading crime novels, and murder mysteries. For one reason or another, it's always been the sort of novel that I enjoyed reading

I love to read, but I don't like thrillers...or mysteries for that matter. My sister makes fun of me because I say I like to read books that just have a regular family story...I just want to read and not think. lol I just wish I had time to read more.....but here I sit on Mylot instead of doing housework. lol

I love thrillers! Robert Ludlum (the Bourne books) is my absolute favorite thriller writer. He's gone now, but I still haven't read all his books. I also like Mary Higgins Clark, who combines the thriller with romance, and Dan Brown.

I've read a few Mary Higgins Clark books but not read the Bourne books. I like a couple of Dan Browns but some I wasn't too keen on.

Hello oldchem1, Yes, I like reading thrillers too. The stores based on true stories are the best and have more twists and turn in the plots than some that are made up. I wish I had the time to read more but I also like writing articles. Stories are hard to do and you need special creativity to keep the plot going and not get boring. I also like Agatha Christie and there is English Guy on PBS series channel 12 here in Pa. that I like to watch. Thanks and have a great day! Sincerley Unique16
