Hey guys, any Pokemon enthusiasts out there? I just wanted to start this discussion and gather the personal opinion of the general public regarding this topic.
If you've tuned in to Pokemon since it started, you might have noticed by now that not even one of them grow older. I started watching Pokemon when I was a grade-schooler, now I'm in college, but Ash is still ten years old? I mean, come on, he doesn't even look near pubescent until now. What could be their secret to everlasting youth? Do you think the pokemon help them regenerate cells, or maybe their world's time run much slower than ours? Any wild ideas out there? I really want to hear your theories on this. ^^

yeah there's lot of mystery in them
like what kinda mom let a ten year travel the world on his own?
or who's ash dad?
or when well they age even a year will do.
i mean it!
and when will this series end?
how many years was it air?
eleven?
just become a pokeman master already?
u've been saving the world for like 15 times already
and if u're not by then the world's probably telling you that u aren't meant to be a master.

Well i also loved to watch pokemon when i was a kid. And now also I have all the pokemon collection episodes and the 13 released movies with me. I loved watching them and pikachu was my favorite pokemon. I still watch now whenever i get a chance, that is to say mostly on weekends. I love it!

My realistic guess would be that it's cartoon physics. Kind of the same concept behind the fact that Mickey Mouse has stayed the same age ever since he was conceptualized.
My other guess is that he's only 12 years old. If you take note, the whole Pokémon series has had 274+192+191 (English dubbed) episodes so far. More or less 656 episodes. So, if each episode were a day in Ash's life (which isn't so, because there were some "to be continued episodes" wherein a day took span over several episodes), then today he is almost two years older. If you take note of the last season, his way of thinking seems somewhat more mature than in the first season. However, I find it so funny that he acts so childish sometimes, only to remember that the dude is just a kid.
