birds wont eat veggies

I have 2 parekeets and they are afraid of veggies or fruits when you're holding or moving them. They literally run and hide in a corner of a cage or move to the other end of the peg. They're afraid of veggies and fruits because they seem strange. If you put the veggies in their tray they'll just toss them out, I guess they need to adjust to eat veggies at an younger.

I have heard of instances where animals and birds won't eat Genetically Modified Food. Perhaps you could try organic or naturally raised vegetables and fruit, just to see? It shouldn't cost that much more than usual just for a test.
