I don't do novena for Christmas but sometimes when I am praying for something I badly need I pray a novena for Infant Jesus of Prague. I really believe in Him. When I had my license examination and I was really having a high fever and my mind can not function well in answering math problem I just said my prayer to Infant Jesus of Prague. But we are attending the 9 days novena mass for Christmas.

hi momtryingt2makeit I am not a Catholic but was trapped into listening to them in the vistors lounge and found the procedure very moving as my protestant religion does not have anything so earnest. I watched it and enjoyed the devotion that most were showing and wished my church would inspire that in us parishioners.

this does sound quite nice. i see a couple answered with a Bible quote about not praying in front of people? thats the problem with our Bible we mostly read. to contradictory. you see there is also a quote in it that says, "where 2 or more are gathered together in my name, so shall i be there." so im thinking when we pray together, is that not 2 or more gathered? anyway, i would pray with you if i knew how its done from distance. now im going to look it up...lol. since im not really catholic and never studied this particular religion.

Sorry but I'm not praying novena prayers. If you don't mind I will share to you a truth mentioned in the bible about prayer which I believe you know. Bible says that if you want to talk your father (God) that you cannot see go to your room, close and talk to Him. He will answer your prayer because He will see your heart... Sorry but novena is a traditional prayer given by spanish regime.. see you around

I can agree, prayer is supposed to personal between you and our father. Remember how Jesus blasted the ones that prayed loudly so that man could see how well they did it? Well go and hide and it will be you and God.

Hi momtrying, yes, I do pray novenas but have not heard of St Andrew. I pray the 9 times novenas of St Pio and have just started on the Rosary of Liberation. Both are powerful prayers for special intentions.

Sorry, I can't help. I've never heard of the novena prayers. If the Lutheran church taught them, I've forgotten them. If another church taught them, I never learned them...
