First, find out what your friend needs. She probably doesn't need small appliances, everyone gives those! How about something personal, like matching his and her terrycloth lounging robes or bath sheets? You could get her a welcome mat for her front door or some pretty kitchen linens, which no one ever has enough of! Get her something she'll use every day or at least a few times a week so that she'll think of you.
One thing that people rarely think to give is a freezer safe container to store a piece of wedding cake that couples traditionally eat on their first anniversary.
You could also pass around a digital camera and let people take candid photos of the reception. Then burn them to a CD and give it to the couple as a wedding gift. That will be a pack of priceless memories!

Oh Thank you very much ! Your post is very helpful. Certainly I would start looking for bath sheets or lounging robes or something like that. I am also enough of small appliance. Although I havent seen any freezer safe around but I would love to find somewhere to find one. Surely shots or video for the wedding would truly be amazing. Thanks for the help!

We are connected in facebook for both of them, but they doesnt state whatever they want or need there. I am clueless on what to give that would really help them or meet their needs. I guess, I would find that out sooner. As for the moment, I am in desperate need of options on whatever could be the best gift for them. Thanks for the suggestion.

Actually it is just simpler to get them a gift card to their favorite place to shop or get things so that they will be able to get things they need as they need or want them. So they don't end up with 2 and 3 things of the same thing.

Here we tend to give money as the wedding gift because the couples can buy whatever they like. As sometimes I am afraid I will give the wrong gift and the money will be wasted. So it is better to give the couples money and they can use it.

hi torchablazed Something for the newly weds home would be nice
depending on how well you know them and their tastes but I remember getting a wonderful painting of an outdoors scene, I really loved it and although it was not an expensive gift it suited our paneled living
room to a t.Another idea is to ask them if they have a registry and if they have any wishes listed in it and go by their wishes. sorry I have picked out a wedding gift for so long i am out of ideas.

Sometimes they will start a registry or at least make a list of gifts they're wanting. BUT you can always bet that money, or a gift card, is a safe bet. I am boring like that, though, I think gift cards are great ideas... You could also perhaps make something, creative, like a picture frame with a wedding picture in it (or something like that). Also to think about is buying them household items - my cousin last year (When she got married) got things such as china, silverware sets, water purifyers, dehydrators, and so on. (I can't say for sure if she even uses these things..but it seems like a good idea!). Buying presents can be so tricky, so I understand why you're having a hard time. Good luck and I'm sure they will appreciate whatever you get them!
