I decided to upgrade my phone today - I'm useless with these 'smart phones' so there was no use me getting one of those! As it is I think I'm very brave getting a touch screen one (LG GM360), so far I've called three wrong people!!
The good news is that I've managed to reduce my monthly tarrif to just £6.50 a monmth, so I'm happy about that!!
How do you get on with new phones?
Does it take you an age to get used to them or is it just me wo's an old biddy?

I had the same problem, when I bought a Smart Phone to renew my old phone. Firstly I was almost unable to do anything on it: unusual touching, bizarre menus, everything was new, because I didn't use these before, I was accustomed only with my 'epic' mobile with no innovative widgets. I had the luck, that one of my friend knew pretty well the mechanism of it and finally he showed me all I needed to know, so I familiarized with it quick.

I have a "new phone" a few months old. No touch screen, but still new for me. My old phone had an instruction book that was a half inch thick. I think this one, which is much more complicated, has about five pages of instructions is all.I am not getting on well with it at all.

I got a new phone about 6 weeks ago. It took me forever to figure it out. It is a touch screen as well, and let me tell you, I don't particularly like it. I was suppose to get a motorola backflip and my daughter was suppose to get this pink Pantech phone. The day they were delivered, I could figure the backflip out at all. It wouldn't even light up for me and there was no way I could see the letters on the keypad without it. So when my daughter can home for school she saw the phones and said she wished she had the backflip. I told her about the keypad not lighting up and she said she would take it and I could have her's. I said okay...she said "you promise you won't take the backflip back" and I said I promise I would keep hers and she could have the backflip. So next thing I know I am stuck with this pink little phone and she charges up the backflip and the keypad light comes on....nothing like being out smarted by a 13 year old!!!

I have no difficulty when changing my phone. Perhaps it is because I am younger than you. I think it is normal if we need adaptation to new one moreover for elderly people like you. I spent three days to trained my mother using mobile phone and my father even never succeeded using phone. Generally, younger people are more easily adaptation with newest technology. Well, it's just my opinion based on my experiences.

I bought my smartphone in Octover, and I must say, that it has a vibrant touchscreen. It also has a fast processor, which is a 1gigahertz, as I think that is really fast for a cell phone. It is the second one I have owned, and I really like smartphones. Now, the touchscreen is easy to hit the wrong thing, but I am getting used to it by now. It has a lot of features, and since it is an Android phone, it has a lot of apps, that I can download and install, and I have installed a few. I just install the free games and apps, as I just don't think it is necessary to buy them when they have free ones. I really like the Android phone, and I will more than likely not change from Android to any other operating system. Take care, and have a very good day.
