I remember the time, when i was 11 and in my 5th grade I heard my classmates talk about it. At first I thought it was some chinese entertainment site when i heard its name but later found out about it. It was like 2006, about a year after YouTube opened

That's a very good question, to be honest, I don't know. I think it was some time around 2007 for me. As for watching, I knew what youtube was, but I never really watched any videos until I wanted to see some of my favorite bands videos from the late 70s and 80s, and that was about two years ago.

Wow. It was forever ago. I think the first time I heard of YouTube was the day that I first visited it. I was surfing some Narnia fansites for news on the first movie (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe which came out in 2005) and someone posted a link to an interview with the cast on YouTube. I don't think I spent much time on it that time, the videos were taking FOREVER to load... but I kept finding YouTube links and more and more people were talking about it so eventually I started surfing it myself.
