Getting Paid

When you get paid for your job, when do you get paid? The first of the month? Every two weeks? Those of you on disability or something similar, do you get your check on the first of the month? Do you prefer to get a check, or do you want it deposited in your bank account? The last job I had, it was automatically deposited in my bank account. That was our only option. And we got paid every two weeks, which was fine by me.
I guess you could also take this question and apply it to the sites you earn money with online.

My job pays us directly to our bank accounts on or before the 10th of each month. That's fine by me because my utility bills are on direct debit and go through on the 12th, just after I get my pay.

Good morning, dearest Ambie. I am the "maker of my own destiny"...all my work is Contract Labour, so all the paper-work is mine..and I get paid, when I get my butt busy and do my billings, either e-mail them, "snail mail" them, or hand deliver them...and then I am totally reliant upon whenst they decide to write me a cheque and forward it. Therefore, I have to be very good at budgeting, and always keep a reliable cushion in the bank, as most of the time, I have two employees...and they get paid on the 9th and 23rd! I know, weird dates...but if I am diligent and do my billing at the end of the month, I usually have the money in the bank by the 9th, but always keep a cushion there in case something goes wrong.
As you know, I am still NOT computer prolific, and when my computer crashed in June, I lost all my billings (which included my work diary) as I had not backed it up....and I am still trying to sort that mess out, as there are jobs that I have not been paid for, back til April 2010! Not the clients fault, mine because of loss of data. NOW, I also keep a handwritten diary, something to fall back on!
In summary...Pay Day is about as predictable as the weather. HUGZ & Cheers!

Luckily with the job that I do now besides the mylot I can get paid daily for what I do. How much just depends on the amount of jobs available that day and how much work i can get done in a certain amount of time. I really enjoy doing the transcription and it is great I get daily pay. It goes straight to my paypal account which is fine because I don't need the money right away but I know I have it there if I need it for an emergency.

when I was employed, every 2 weeks
some jobs they deposited in the bank, some jobs I have to pick up the paycheck
earning online, usually every time I reach max
I had a couple of good sites outside mylot at the time
but my pc kept getting virus etc so I decided to leave them
I'd rather deposit in bank so I don't have to carry the check with me
but sometimes it's new company I am worried about giving my bank information

I am getting paid during the 15th and the 30th of the month. In other sites I get paid every week, however here in Mylot since I am not that active lately, it will takes three months before i get paid, i feel it. Hopefully there is a site that can give you payment every time you work on it.

Hi there,
I get paid every second friday for the two weeks prior to the week I'm getting paid in. It is directly deposited in my bank account. If I want to look at the pay stub I have to go online to view it.

Hi,
If you are referring to normal office job, of course, the pay day will
be on month end. That is the best day of the month.
But if you are referring to some online job earning, then the pay day will
be vary for every sites.
How nice it is when we see some amount is in to our bank account..
I hope I can withdraw out some of my paypal amount soon.

Getting payment or salaries will depends where and who you are working, if you are working in the company guidelines of salary they have (like you) meaning every where you work schedule date of salary or paid is fix. However if you are working by your own business, that case is not including... But I like payment every 15 days and 30 days of the month.... But here in Saudi monthly basis. thanks see you around

Every two weeks for us. I like it better this way since the number of days are fixed compared to those who get paid every 15th and 30th of the month. It's easier to budget my money.

The majority of the work I do nowadays is online and I am paid fortnightly from one place and monthly here of course. If an editor accepts one of my articles I am almost always paid by cheque. My last ‘offline’ job paid me fortnightly and credited my account which was really convenient. My husband is paid the same way. he used to receive a monthly salary and that took some getting used to not to mention careful budgeting so we wouldn’t run out of cash in between pay days.
