Kill to change the World

I paused myLotting for a while because I went out and hang out with some friends and then we got into discussing "how to affect change", a friend of my friend(who by the way has many issues about her family and the world in general) had this crazy idea which we all disagreed upon...she said that true change could only be done if people, 30 yrs. and older are killed...why? she said, so that they won't be able to influence the younger generation anymore, so the younger generation would have no opposing force on implementing change...she added that if this is done, young people will stay idealistic and their strong sense of right will not be corroded by corrupt older people...I know that she has a point, so I asked but how about those that are not corrupt?...she said that in order for total change we have to make sacrifices and give no exemptions...I totally disagreed! I won't be a good citizen if not for my mother and I would kill also in order to keep her safe...she laughed at this and said that how pathetic my sentiments were...I got so mad that I told her that she is the one who is pathetic for she has no understanding of real sacrifice and has no experience with dealing with loving parents and good people in general... I know that there are a lot of bad and corrupt people here in this world but I believe in humanity and that I have no right to take a life because I can't create it...sigh, my evening is totally ruined... If you were in my situation, how would you react? Do you agree with her? Would you let anyone harm your mother? grandmother? father? grandfather? aunts and uncles? (even if they are corrupt?)

So the younger generation is no longer influenced by the older generation. That is so ugly and mean spirited. If you keep up with the Conspiracy Theory you may have seen the episode where Jesse Ventura goes to the Denver Airport and see the muels and is told what these futuristics things mean. And he is taken to where the underground bunker is where the higher ups in politics have a sort of condo incase of an world wide famon and the apparent up and coming hollocost.

I see your friend's point. But there's a lot of loopholes to it. For instance, how can she make sure that all the younger generation is good and no one is corrupt? And how could a generation who could kill a whole, older generation be at all good? I think I would react the same way you did. By no means am I super close to my family, but I would never even think of anyone harming them, let alone their deaths as sacrificial lambs to a political experiment. Besides, sooner or later, a bad seed in these new generation will come out. I don't think that a Utopian world could never be achieved. There would always be disruptions and hindrances to it.

Well, I'd go for a twenty-five-year-old president if that person is super brilliant. Then he or she would deserve it. But having a twenty-five year old as a president just because no one is older is ridiculous. And I'd probably never go with someone who could create a mass genocide. That would probably never happen. Even though humanity's not purely good, I don't think it's entirely evil either.

Very valid point I believe. I don't think I want a twenty five year old president...

Yes, I agree with you and now that I'm calm enough, I feel sorry for her actually because her opinions of older people are biased within her own experiences only...and I think it would never happen since more people think like us than her^^

OMG...what has possessed your friends mind? Her words are evil and definitely no sane person would agree to what she said. I pray that my parents live to their ripe old age so I can reciprocate all the good deeds they have done to me. It never cross my mind that people who are anywhere above 30 are corrupted. Without these people around to guide the younger generations I think these young people will live a chaotic life.

Not a bad idea. That's to me that is but implementing such idea is hard and probably impossible because later on their lives they will be 30 year olds too. You should have agreed or something. It's just an idea. Why so serious?

It's a conversation not planning a genocide of 30 year olds, come on?

LOL, I guess I was being touchy...I've calmed a bit now, so I could admit it but I was just fuming earlier...she just said it so indifferently...sigh

Influence isn't just with those of 30 years of age and older but with all ages. If a group of teenagers are wanting the same kind of cereal, the other teenager is going to agree.

I mean by going by what your friend suggested that is like saying nobody likes ice cream.

Aye, I think your right! There are many influential persons that belong in the younger generation, the movie stars for example, but are they all of exemplary characters? sigh, I hope that in time she would realize this too...

Hello marapplestiffy. I think your friend has a lot of issues. I would partially agree with his idea in eliminating the bad apples but I wouldn't say we should kill all old people. Not all old people are bad and not all young people are good. So the best remedy would be to eliminate the bad people so that they won't be able to influence the good ones. You can do this by imposing strict penalties for crimes so that people will be afraid to commit them.

A person who would do that kind of killing would be corrupt, more corrupt than many that she would like to see killed. It is sad that she has not had a good experience with her family.

OMG! I must confess that this is the craziest idea I’ve ever heard on trying to save the world from corruption!!! If your friend had her way, there would no longer be billionaires who give their fortune in charity, there would no longer be saints who spread the message of love and compassion…you’re correct, she really does have some pathetic ideas.

Change should start within you. Did your friend's friend kill her parents? Friends that are 30 and above?

Your friend is a sad individual if this is the way she views the world! She and all other young people have a mind of their own and can make their own decisions and as she becomes older and hopefully a lot wiser she will know to use her own free will and not follow those who are corrupt. To kill everyone over thirty which would include her loved ones is sick thinking…You should be proud of yourself for disagreeing with her. Since when has killing helped improve the world?

I think I will never want any one to be kill, all people should die if its already the time. I think by killing people the corruption will not end. If we want to end it we can start from ourself not to give or except its will be slow change but we making it. I think as long greediness still there the corruption will be keep coming. What we really need it strict law and good morality law enforcement to do it. I believe its not easy because the system seem to enjoy this situation. I think you are right I will never let any one to harm my family what ever the reason.

of course not!she so pathetic!!! changes start simply from very own self. if you won't able your self influence from our older one with that corrupt one. coz accordingly, you are the captain of your soul, the master of yourself. you don't have the right pointing other people to blame what's happening to you.
