Start humming a song at the worst possible time.

There have been times where I have gotten a song stuck in my head and started to hum it at an inappropriate time. Talk about embarrassing when I realized what was happening. Especially the times where everyone was staring at me like I was insane. Well they might be onto something, but still. Have you ever done something like this?

At least the teacher did not see. It happened to me. Of course, the teacher in question was one of those teachers that was a bit odd to begin with. So everything was all good. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Once in a while, suddenly I find I'm the only one that makes sound including humming songs, talking on phone and monolog in a high voice in some public occasion, what a embarrassment,u know.like the whole world freezes suddendly and I'm stared as a phantom.... I always shut up at once and nagging sorry repeatedly ,move to another place to aviod their eyes in the crowd.

One time in a legal meeting with my attorney, and I burst out laughing at a joke I had heard days earlier, he looked at me like I was insane. I was beyond embarrassed to say the least ~ :)

I think it was something he said that triggered the memory and we weren't the only two in that meeting, aka he wasn't the only one starring at me like I was crazy :D

Yeah just something like that is going to make anyone look at you insane. They aren't privvy to what is going through your head. So while it might be somewhat expected to you, to an outside observer, less so. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Hi, I think you're funny and I like to be like that. I mean, if you're in a situation like that, that's really funny! I want to hum in class but I can't. I don't know why, whenever I try, there's no voice coming out. I'm really shy and even I want to, I just can't hum when I'm already there. It's hard to explain why but I've never hummed before. Even there's a song that's stuck on my head, I just sing it on my head and I can't let it out through humming. Weird.

I think that it is funnier in retrospect. At the time it is not funny as much. Right now thinking back, it is kind of amusing. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

My son came home one day from college with this smile on his face. I asked him what was making him in such a good mood. He said he was in a lecture with a whole bunch of students with a teacher who is known for his monotone voice and grumpy attitude. It was near lunch, people were yawning and my son eats like a horse. Ten minutes before the bell my son sang the Red Robin jingle from the commercial and waited for the "yum" response. Almost every hungry guy in the hall did, and how! The teacher actually grinned and shook his head, responding-"I get the message", and released the class for lunch! Too funny!
