What tricks can your dog do?
Mine can play dead, high five, turn in circles, shake, speak, and lie down.

My dog can stand up, sit, lie down, roll over, and retrieve her toys by name. She's very smart. She could learn more if I knew how to teach her. I have another dog that can only turn in a circle and sit (sometimes). I heard that dogs are happier when they learn tricks. They like to have something to do.

Do you find that your dog will go through her food and only pick out the pieces she wants, because he does that and it drives me nuts.

It's funny you say that. I just got new food that has little bits in it that she won't eat. It's a good thing that my other dog likes to eat her leftovers. Otherwise I would have to clean them up myself. That's always gross because she puts them on the floor with her mouth and they get slimy.

Hello lyramcken, and welcome to myLot!
Besides the basic obedience commands (come, sit, lay down, stay, heel and NO!) my dog, Binne knows how to steal food from the table. Isn't it a great trick she knows?
Nobody taught her to do this trick, but she's always successful. That's why we never left any food on the kitchen table when we are not in the kitchen.
