I know that the Bible used to be the law in the Middle Ages and it was used to control the people. I know that this has both a negative and a positive side. But nowadays as we're in the 21st century, do you think that people should still be taught that God is the Law and that they should fear something they have never seen, or should they rely on their moral decisions as a weapon to keep them away from doing bad stuff. Do you think that the "REAL" law the one we have established as goverment and police can have a greater effect on controlling people, or God as an abstract being can be used to bring peace between the human population?

Hi cryox92, There is both good and bad in the Bible but it's a book that I would encourage adults to read and made their own decisions. I do not believe that we should be indoctrinating children by taking them to church. I do think that adults should be given an opportunity to read about any religion that they have an interest in, so that they can decide for themselves if they want to believe in God or not. I should add that many people find God outside of organizedreligion. Many religions teach fear and that is wrong. If it's the bet they can do than do than they should do people a favour and close their doors. I don't think that we need organized religion, in fact the world would be better without it. The golden rule as found in the teachings of Jesus is religion enough for anyone. Blessings.

Its better if we say, Love God and not fear God. Yes! even in this 21st century, God (Bible) and his laws are important to set matters straight. Just think of it, many people lie, they even justify that lying to save themselves or others is infact no Sin, but lying is actually a sin. The same thing about killing. Some people justify their wrong doings, even if it means they kill some1, coz' they think its OK, they justify. Human moral standards aren't upto the mark, some think one way, some other, but God has a set rules and principles, which we will follow if we want to please him and lead a happy and prosperous life.
