Definately read the FAQ.
I re-read it yesterday and found it really helpful. I've figured out a few ways to make money on mylot more efficiently.
You don't start earning reputation until you've reached a certain amount of posts. I believe its 500 posts. Keep it up and you'll get there quick. I think it took me a couple weeks to get there. However I was unemployed at the time.
People vote on your reputation. They can either vote positive or neagtive on your posts. I can't remember how its calculated but its easy to get a 9. Just be helpful and polite. Try to not answer in one sentense answers.
Rewards are new. I haven't gotten one yet. I was reading the FAQ and it said that rewards will just pop up randomly from time to time. They suggest using the search bar.
If you want to earn extra money at mylot I suggest that you post lots of pictures and check out the tasks.

Well, my dear Monkeyrose, it seems that you didn't read the FAQs carefully. The myLot reputation is automatically given to each user that reaches 100 posts. You know it's easyer to reach 100 posts than to reach 500 posts.
Maybe you thought at the 500 posts limit as being the limit that permit a user to upload photos into comments and to use the copy-paste facility.
I don't know how new are the rewards, but they have been here since I joined myLot.

hi Earl to earn a reputation on mylot you just need to be yourwself and participate, make quality posts and we will hopefully rate you a nice
plus and as you gather our pluses your reputation will grow. as for the search bar rewards there is no way you can get rewards as the thing is random and some will get a reward a dozen times and another will not and its not something you can do to change it.but with great posts you will move up in your reputations. and also do rate others as mylot admins asks us to do so.
