Ashes series has begun in unfamiliar mode with England managing a draw, unlike in most of the cases England, for that matter any other team, getting thorough bashing from the dominant Australia. This has proved a point that the present Aussie side is just the shadow of their previous versions. This has increased the interest in the series even more. Aussies are nervous which is clear from the fact that they have dropped their strike baller Mitchell Johnson. It is the time for Strauss to tighten the screws. I wish him All the best.

I think Australia lacks some good fast bowlers right now. I think Aussies need some good wicket takers to take wickets in the win matches. I think the wicket was flat and most of the bowlers went for runs and also batsman batted very good in the Ashes. I hope more competitive matches comes in the future test cricket in Ashes.

What a start! Katich and Ponting out first over, then Clarke. 2-3 on a belter of a batting strip. Australia did well to get to 245 with their tail. Must find a way of getting Hussey out early. He's the man in form at the moment. Anderson bowled well with the new ball.
