A lot of tiny houses had appeared on the scene whose layouts are really cute and so minimalists. For individuals who prefer to live simply, these tiny houses which have complete amenities to boot are so ideal. Others are even mounted on trailer beds and you could transport your house anywhere you want to go. So many styles which will suit the needs of a couple or with just 2 kids. There are even delightful tree houses!
However, it would be still be a lot comfortable to live in modest sized houses than in these tiny houses. But if you're just solo, it would be much economical to live in tiny houses than big ones.
how about you? where do you prefer to live? in tiny or small houses or big ones? i would like to hear you opinions on this.

Hi dear,
I would like to live in such a way. But now it is not possible because I am living in a city where such things are beyond imagination. We have the flat systems and independent small houses are not possible as per law. If it is permitted, the life there is more tiresome and people are living in the remote areas.
But it is possible in villages and we can make such homes independently. But we cannot depend the same for a long period of time on the basis of security and other reasons. Also, it should suit with the local geographical conditions as well.
Regards,
Thank-s

hello thanks1961!
i didn't know that there are cities where small houses are not allowed, by operation of law. well, i just thought it wouldn't matter as long as you own or rent the space and you have complied with the hygiene and sanitation requirements and of course the safety, it would not matter. Well, that's a new information and i thank you for sharing it with me.

Hi dear,
I am in the mid of city and staying 50-60 kms away from work place. The work place is totally business areas and residential areas mixed. It is, of course there are small houses and homes. But all are very old may be 30 40 years of old ones. So, as the areas are developing, the new constructions are coming with bigger projects. If there are small homes like 10-15 with in a short area, the builder come and approach the families and they will make 25-30 story building and they will accommodate all those residing people in the building through a proper agreement. The rest of the apartments will sell out by the builder to the public and make a lots of money. This is a trend now seems here and the small housing project will no more go on. As long as the people who are living in these areas may not be able to make such a big project so they the people over there are most interested to go for such projects. They will get modern amenities and get a multi million home also in their hands.
This is the typical trend within the limits of 50 kms. areas within the city limits. This is the basic concept, but there individual cases also. But as you said, for a peaceful atmosphere and free lance areas, it is always better to move to a remote place where we can live peacefully with out the busy life of the cities. I hope that you must have understood the concept.
Thank-s

I would really want to buy my own house and lot someday. Before that, I still have alot of things to consider. First, I need to see if my budget will meet the price of the house and lot I wanted. After considering the price, that's the only time I can make a choice on what style of house I'm going to buy. Then, I want to consider also the surroundings and the accessibility of the place from supermarkets, malls and hospitals. It doesn't matter to me if the house is big or small as long as my budget can afford it.Just need a house that will just fit my family and I prefer it stylish also.

hello hanni!
that's quite a plan you have and its good. I must admit that getting a house should be made with a well-thought out plan, so you won't have regrets later. that's really good of you to consider all factors before embarking on it.

When I moved out of my moms me and my boyfriend moved into a studio apartment but now we live in a 2 bedroom with an add on house. It is much bigger and has some advantages but it being bigger there is also some drawbacks. But I would have to say I like a medium sized house, like the one I am in now its not too big to where there is too much house but not too small where I have no room.

Hello derielle.
Well i think i want an average size - not to big as it would be murder to pay for the heat required, but not a small petite one that doesn't even have room to through a pin in :)
A house with the ground floor and upstairs with 2-3 bathrooms, the master bedroom, a guest bedroom, a kitchen, dining and fun activities room, with a small garden - where one can have a barbecue, a few plants growing and some grass to lie on in the summer sounds just about right :).

I am a lover of open spaces so I think that would place me in the realm of larger homes. i like architectural details like high ceilings, arches and vaulted ceilings. I also prefer rooms that naturally blend into others. I have a big family and I definitely need a space for entertaining and also I would like to be able to house them when they come to visit.want space for my sons and their friends.

I'd rather choose to own a big mansion. Of course, I will be dishonest if I'll say I never dream of having great things like others have. Living in a mansion does mean I can help other people to have the same house too. That's my dream to build beautiful houses and buildings, so to promote my skill I must have my own mansion.

I live in a 3 bedroom home and it's just not big enough. The kitchen is impractical, the laundry inefficient, the bathroom too narrow, all bedrooms too small, ditto lounge room. The living room dining room is also impractical. I don't find it at all economical to live in a small home but I do see your point and in the instance that you speak of i will agree with you.

I would prefer something in the middle, big enough for my family and me to live comfortably, but small enough that it feels cozy.

I've seen the articles recently that have shown the super small homes you are talking about. It's very interesting to see how they make such an efficient use of very limited space. In reality though, most people wouldn't be able to function very well in a space that small. It might be fine for one person but for even two people, they would be bumping into each other constantly and having even a moment of privacy would be difficult in a space that small. You really have to be a "minimalist" to be able to live that way. Most people have way to much "stuff" to fit into that little area too. My library of books and dvd's alone wouldn't fit in there.
The part about it being put on a trailer originated because when the guy built the original tiny structure, it was too small to qualify as a domicile under the building codes in the city where it was built, so he put it on a trailer to make it a "travel trailer". Here again, in reality, there are a lot of purpose built travel trailers out their that you can buy pre-made that have the same or better amenities and cost less. It's not really a knew concept.
That said, I think there is definitely a trend going on right now to downsize somewhat. A lot of people (myself included) are realizing that it costs a lot to build and maintain a large house and in fact, a lot of space goes pretty much unused in a lot of the larger houses. It's really a waste to heat or cool all that unused area.
Take a situation where two people live in a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with a den, a family room, living room and formal dining room. In reality, they spend 99% of their time in the kitchen, living room and master suite (bedroom and bathroom). The formal dining room gets used during the holidays or special occasions only. The family room never gets used. The den is just extra space. Even when they have family visit, usually only one of the extra 3 bedrooms is ever used at one time. The other two sit empty most of the time. So they are heating, cooling, cleaning and maintaining, and paying taxes and insurance on at least 5 rooms that they don't really need.
While most people wouldn't be able to live in one of the tiny houses, they certainly can downsize and live in a more efficient space than what has been an era of bigger and bigger houses. I think that seeing those tiny homes has made a lot of people aware of that fact and started them thinking about downsizing. In my case, I was planning on building a large home when I move but now I'm rethinking that and will probably build a much smaller home. I'll save money on building costs, taxes, insurance and utilities, not to mention have less house to clean and maintain.

I think I can not live in tiny house. I want to life with my family, I want house with 5 bedroom and big yard so my dog can play freely and we all had space to do our gardening hobby.
Its will quite expensive if buy it in the city but will not too expensive if buying it village.
I think if I life alone I prefer small house with big yard. Big yard always a choice because the one we had now don't have yard.

I'd prefer a small house since I really don't need much space and a smaller house is easier to upkeep/clean/take care of.

Personally I'd like to live in a bigger place. Currently I'm living in a one bedroom apartment with my partner, and granted, it's big enough to sustain us, we're currently slowly running out of space. This place is probably only big enough for one person actually but we make it work because we definitely need to save some money. Our rent is actually increasing next month. I'd love to live in a bigger space because we need it, but in reality, I realize that I can't afford it at this time. So we'll just deal with what we've got until we can get a bigger place.

once I wanted a huge mansion. You know the type of house you need a map to find the bathroom. It wouldn't be all fancy , but it would be huge. But now , All I want is a condo. A modest size condo in a highrise.

If you ask me, I prefer to live in a house that is enough for my family's needs. When I say enough, meaning it is comfortable for us. I believe this will be a medium-sized house.
In that house, we will have a place to assemble as a family and at the same time, we have our own rooms when we need privacy. Though for the meantime, I think if I will be having kids, I want them to be in one room so that they can bond together. Isolation them would only mean they are for themselves.

I would prefer to live in a big house because my family is big and that is why we need to live in a big house but if i was a solo person, i would also live in a big house because i hate small houses! but sometimes, it is scary to live in a big house alone but it is comfortable to live in big houses rather than in tiny houses! right now, i live in a quite big house and it is suited for us~

I would like to live in a smaller house, as that way there would be less rooms to clean and alot less things in it.Also i think that a smaller house is a cosyer house.I like those small village houses best as they always look like cosy houses.I would like a small house with a small patio and no garden or grass to cut. That would all be ideal.

I like to live in a big house. That house must have my own room, living room, kitchen, dinning room and the bedrooms for all members of my family. when we decide to live in a house, we have to consider many things such as decorattion, equipment,...
