Is the life is a profit and loss account?

In everywhere we hear there nothing benefit , so what need to do that. People are now very aware towards profit and benefit. Is really life is a profit and loss account. Is everything in life really done seeking benefit?
It is a million dollar question that can we make any profit in life? In short period we may get some profit but in totality in life everything is nothing but loos. I am not negative minded towards life but just think on the phenomenon of life.
From the very beginning of life we have loosing one after another till death.....
Time ...... After our birth we are loosing the time allotted for us in second.
We are losing out allotted time to live.
we are loosing our near and dear one ..... one after another.
And finally we have to loose our life in form of death.
So why people are so aware to the benefit and profit when all are sinking in the sea of loss?
Do you think my question as a funny one?

I can see the point that you are making and you aren't incorrect in saying what you've said. However, I also think that there are a lot of ways that we are able to profit in our lives. We are able to move ahead in our lives in many ways. The first example that I can think of is the relationships that we have the opportunity to make in our lives. If we weren't to make friends in our lives, then I don't think that we would be moving ahead in our lives. We are also able to make money in our lives as well. So, though every minute that passes is one less minute to live, we are able to gain in other ways in our lives.

If we want to gain profit in each and everything and desperately calculate profit and loss then life turn into a business. Making money and aware towards profit is not bad but life not like a balance of business. Some thing we need in life that can't be calculated with money. Love, relation and emotion are more valuable things in life and those are not measured with money. Happiness of giving is more valuable then the value of the thing we give some other.

Yes life is like a journey. How much we enjoy the journey is accountable. So in life we should not be too materialistic that we devalue the life. Life is more valuable than matter. But irony of modern materialistic concept that life is measured with matter. That is injustice to the life.

I appreciate what you are saying and I do think that there is a more positive way of looking at life too. For example think of the things you gain by being alive, like the love you receive from your loved ones, the wisdom and the knowledge…They are some of the things that cannot ever be taken from you such as the wonderful memories of good times gone by. Life is not all about loss in my opinion, only if you choose to view it that way.
