I have meet a lot of friends and peoples through out my life, and I have seen many people that are so impatient, they always rush to do something in their life and always want thing to be done fast. One of the example is my own boss, he is kind of real impatient man that when ever he give us some job to do, he will keep asking every 5 minutes the progression of the job given, that really annoyed me a lot especially for the job that I need concentration to do. He really distract me when I trying to finish the job fast but he just so impatient and keep asking the same question again and again. Do you think yourself is a patient people or impatient? How can someone or any method to train someone who is impatient into someone patient?

When you have become a boss, you will understand the situation as a boss who has to supervise so many things within a day. Normally when I was supervising my contractors or those below me, I should understand their working characters or their weakness first. Sorry to say that certain people need to be paying more attention in order to ensure the dedicated tasks to be completed on time. If the dedicated work can not be completed on time, the leader is the one to explain and the whole team will be fired first. In my opinion, it is not appropriate to describe your boss as impatient. He should be describe as a high responsibility boss who is willing to take care for the whole team.

I am managing over 50 foreign worker and few engineers under me and I never chase them like how my boss chase me for the assignment. I think it is how a person handle things and how good he manage things. No doubt a boss always want things to be done fast, but you have to give sufficient time for your subordinate to get the job done, if you keep asking them and do not give them enough lead time, you probably will not have the job properly and at the end you probably have the job to redo another time. To be a boss is not easy and be a good boss even more difficult. If a boss keep asking for the result after 5 minute after he have assign the job to you, and actually the job assign can only be done after 1 hours, is he consider a impatient boss? When someone became a boss, he will be more responsible toward his job and will take care of his team if he want his team to do a good job, or else if the team hate him and become not cooperative, then he probably have to pack his stuff and look for another job.

Yeah! Boss is not the king. All of us should work together or to set up an union as those bank workers. We must unite to fight for our right. Sack the Boss, right?

Union is something good for the worker, but in Malaysia, many company are against the set up of union, they afraid that when there is union in the company, they will have to spend more and giving more benefits to their worker. Sack the Boss? Then who are going to be the boss? Who going to pay us money?

hi yspmyl I used to be impatient but as I started to work with ill people as a nurse's aide I learned to curb my impstience. Ill people cannot be expected to hop to whatever you wish them to do,if they could they would not be in bed in a hospital,so if you are going to keep your job you must be patient with your patients. I know that a good stint of illness for hospital workers shows first hand how tough it is to be ill, and need to be hospitalized then have hospital personnel p oking here and there on you. YOu so bare butt hanging out, and the nurses seem to take forever to bring that pain pill. I had hepatitis while I was wor king as a nurses aide and was a bed patient for several weeks. I found out how it feels to be on the sick bed of the patient nurse situation. I also found myself trying not to complain and biatch about things. this made me understand and be much more patient with my patients.

part of a sentence for some reason was chopped off should be YOu feel so vulnerable in a skimpy gown with your bare butt hanging out, and the nurses seem to take forever to bring that pain pill.

Sometime, we need to be on the side of the person that show impatience to you, then only you will know the reason why they are like that, many people do not understand why some people are like that and they just keep complaining about it and until one day when they are on that position, they start to realize why, that is how I analyze after reading your story. So should I put myself on my boss's shoes so that I will know why he is so impatient?

I am an incredibly patient person. I have all the time in the world, a lot people seem to want my time though. You can only train someone to be a certain way, if they want to be that way. With your Boss the best option is to say, hey Boss, I want to finish the assignment you gave me asap but one of my colleagues keeps interrupting me, would you be so kind as to go interrupt someone else, I will let you know when I am finished. Or something to that effect, just maybe more polite. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

Hi yspmyl, I am an impatient guy though personally and only on certain things. Not that kind professionally but yes, I need things to be done on time - cant help it. I think for those who are impatient they should be taught the art of Meditation and it should do wonders to their getting patient. Cheers, theSids.

Hi thesids, If a person is impatient, he/she will probably cannot accept the idea of meditation. . He/she will probably cannot sit quietly for more than 5 minutes where required by meditation.

I am very patient. I don't like to do anything so fast. I think twice before I take decision. Actually patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. Patience is the support of weakness, impatience is the ruin of strength.

I think I'm a patient person. I try to apply of attraction. Think of the positive and wait. Also if I'm being impatient and doubtful , I consult god. Lately I've having doubts and trying to rush things a little regarding my career and then i got a message from our bible study fellowship. Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
