Someone stole my snowman...

December 3, 2010 1:03pm CST
A woman in Kent England phoned the police to report that her snowman had been stolen apparently she hadn't checked on it for five hours and went outside for a cigarette to find it gone so then called to report the snowman stolen. As you can imagine the police were not impressed. You can check out the full story here: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/22/20101203/tsc-life-us-snowman-1df2b7e.html The police has now release a transcript of the call to highlight the misuse of the emergency services.

I didn't hear anything about this until reading this just now. Who in the world calls the police to report a missing snowman??? It's really sad yet funny at the same time.

You do have to see the funny side of it. Listening to the phone call on the news last night she seemed to think that a genuine crime had taken place.

I heard this on the news as well, i thought it was rather funny at the time, because who in their right mind will call the police to report a snowman stolen. What a waste of police time, people that do things like phone the police for things like that should be fined, as for putting it on the tv now there will be more people trying to copy her.

I can just image her boasting to her friends that she was on the news lets hope that someone will make her realise that what she done was rather stupid.

What would life be without folks like this? Someone stole my digital camera, wish I could get some detectives in on that one!

I could not believe it when I first read it but then I heard the actual phone call on the news.

Wow, so snowmen are now being stolen. How ever could they find it if ever it melts. "Some dumb people who's really lazy to build their own snowman stole another one's snowman" this is a good headline for the Breaking News. LOL

LOL you just have to laugh it is comical I would have not believed it myself. They played the phone call on the news here as they are trying to deter people from making silly calls and wasting the time of the emergency services.

This is a prime example of people with way too much time on their hands, and abusing the system. As silly woman she will soon get more snow and be able to create a new one, in fact several.

Isn't it just. I dread to think what she would do if she made another one and that disappeared as well.

I heard about it! i heard about it on yahoo as well, and i thought what???/ is she crazy or what? reporting police just because someone stole her snowman? what is wrong with her? it was weird but funny in some way but still, she should not waste their time just because she is bored or whatever~~~~~~~~~~~~~. i also thought what is happening to this society? maybe everyone is going crazy and i might be the next one

I defiantly think that there was something wrong with her I don't understand how she thought it was a genuine emergency.

Hi. littleone3. I was unable to read the article because the link must be expired on this web page. If this was a real snowman, that that is very strange. It is frozen ice and it will melt sooner or later anyway. If this is a real snowman, then I think that it was wrong for someone to just come and steal it from out of her yard. What is this world coming to with people just stealing snowman's?

Stupid woman!! She should have looked in the sky, perhaps her snowman was 'floating in the air' It's just amazing how some people misuse the emergency services. There was someone recently phoned 999to say that their mobile had run out of charge!!

I know so stupid. Anyway who steals snowmans and imangine if it melted. Like who does that. That is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard. I don't know what I would have done if I was the police.
