i was just wondering isnt a vets job to help an animal in need even if you dont have a lot of $$$? I am only asking cause my niebors dog caught parvo and no vet would see him with out at least 200 down, The poor guy was in so much pian we had to take him to the local dog pound and have him put down that way. i am very upset and in disbelf about how much they ar charging for an animal's care and not caring if they live or die

Oh, Brandypelland, I'm sorry about your neighbors and their dog. But you know that canine parvo is lethal in most of the cases, and the medicines cost a lot. I don't know if vets do take pro bono cases, but for such a terrible disease, they are not to blame because they didn't treat the little dog for free. It had been much better if your neighbors would have vaccinated the puppy.

Yes we know that it is her fault for not giving him his shots she knows this, it's just one of those things you say i'll do next week and it never happens and then bad things happen, not saying they should of teated him for free but at least helped out for a small down payment or somthing just not a no go away were sorry

Unfortunatelly to be a veterinarian has become a heartless job as any other job. They only think at the material, even though they were expected to protect life.
After I saw my friend's dog dying of distemper, I said I will never delay the shots of my dogs. It's sad that we have to live such sad experience to learn how importants are the vaccines.

I pity your neighbour and his dog...Nowadays, people are willing to do almost everything in order to get richer and richer...even if it is his ethics or his stands to be sacrificed...I think the vet is very cruel and does not really wanted to be a vet because he seems like has no love for animal. A person that loves animal should help them even without monetary gains...
