If you travelled recently, or just travelled.. how was your latest vacation?
last time i was to Greek, i believe 2 years ago. i have to say i enjoyed every single moment there. the only thing i didn't quite like is the fact that if i wanted to go to a restaurant at 3 or 4 o'clock, most of them were closed. who sleeps at that hour?
anyway.. how did you spent your time?

I traveled on a plane from London to Vancouver and spent a total of three weeks there this summer in 2010. I took my disabled toddler son and my baby daughter. He was 3 years old and she had her first birthday in Victoria. We had Canada Day in Powell River. Then I had my birthday in Vancouver a few days before we flew back home. We loved seeing the beautiful city of Vancouver. We found Vancouver Island incredibly beautiful and there was a lot to see there. It was lovely to celebrate my daughter's first birthday in Victoria, a quaint little city.
In 2009 I was pregnant with my daughter and I took my disabled toddler son to Cape Town and the Garden Route in South Africa. We loved spending time at Camp Cove a little beach with a view of the Lion's Rock. It was amazing to see penguins on the beach at Boulder's Bay. I really enjoyed going to Scratch Patch in Simon's Bay. Thew highlight was a two and a half hour safari in a game reserve. We were able to see lions, zebras, giraffes, rhinos and some crocodiles.
Both of these were fantastically enjoyable trips. I liked the wheelchair friendly transport in Cape Town and Vancouver. Flying by plane is demanding with my disabled son. He is unable to walk and very heavy to carry. I like ground floor accommodation.

as happy as i am because your holidays seemed great, i also feel sorry for your son.. can't imagine how hard it was at first, but i'm sure now you've already learned that being all sad about it won't do any good and you're now having fun with your son as if nothing happened, which is the best you can do!
i'm also sorry if because of my comment, i reminded you of his disability, but it's much more healthy to talk about it, rather than keeping things inside us.
i'm glad your son was treated properly, as he should!

I had a blast at the happy island of Boracay, which was just last weekend. Long stretch of powdery white sand beach, aquamarine sea, not so warm weather - perfect. We had fun island hopping, snorkeling, parasailing and just enjoying the beach and the night life (night walks, actually).
