Lord Macaulay's Address to the British Parliament 2 FEB,1835
"I have travelled accross the length and breadth of India and i have not seen one person who is a beggar,a thief.Such wealth i have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that i do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and therefore i propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the indians think that all that is foreign and english is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem,their native culture and they will become what we want them,a truly dominated nation"
*Dont believe it?.... then have a look at the pic i have attached with this post*
Well what do you think is the main reason behind India "now" being one of the rapidly growing nations in the world?
You think we indians have opted in for the foreign culture leaving behind our self-esteem? --- if that isn't the case then there shouldn't be so many greedy a$$holes ruling our country! Why on earth we find so many people who are homeless, hungry ... waiting for someone to offer some money to fill in their stomachs? Is this situation related to the politicians we vote for?
You must have heard of "EAST INDIA COMPANY" which ruled india for more than 200 years --- and little did you know that the same company which is located in Britain, is NOW owned by an INDIAN named "Sanjiv Mehta"?
You think india would have been a better country -- if we had loyal politicians unlike the stinking, lame, corrupted ones ruling our country now ?

And in a way, I dont believe it...
Remember Chatrapati Shivaji? Well, his second wife got him killed... not the muslims in his group.
Remember Bahadur Shah Jafar? Who do you think betrayed him in 1857 uprising?
And Jaichand, Prithviraj Chauhan's bro in law! I could quote many such examples, but ...
I think it runs in our blood - we be having a gene of corruption somewhere.

We always had one villainous character in all the great epics --- if each and everyone were so good back then there would have been nothing to discuss or learn from
As of your last line --- I'm glad of the attributes i possess! Winning someone's heart is way different!

i can say tha t probably indians are hard working and for someone to call himor herself a begger in india then bileive me thats a begger my brother studied in india and told me that the gorvernment is really helping them and they have such enormous talents that the gorvernment is tapping from like the cottage industry so for me i really dont think that someone can be proud enough not to be a beggar its the circumstances that changes the individual believe me

Though India is not a developed country, it is one of the developing countries in the world. In future it will go to the list of developed country. But it is surprising me that you couldn't see a beggar when you traveled across the length and breadth of India. Is it true? There are so many beggars and some thieves around our area. If you visit one of the main railway stations of this country, you can see number of beggars there.
