Everyone is Changing Pictures... Because of Child Abuse

I checked my Facebook and was astonished to see that almost all of my friends changed their profile pictures to something anime. I was inclined to ask but I did not. Then when I checked my Facebook, I saw my friend who got a video which is titled "eto ang dahilan kung bakit nagpalit tayo ng primary picture" or in English, this is the reason why we changed our primary picture. I watched the video. The beginning was some sort of like having "fun" thing, but as you go through it and when you see the middle part up to the end, it will open your eyes as to what tragedy is going on. Many children are being abused. This is some sort of campaign to stop child abuse. I tried to search for the music that was used in the video. The title was "Concrete Angel". I listened to it and watched its video and I just cannot stop crying. This exposes us to the reality of how abused children feel. I do not think changing pictures would be enough to stop child abuse. I think we should all act for it to be gone forever. I know we all got problems. But I cannot see any reason why parents would hurt their children... How about you guys? Have you heard of this campaign on Facebook? Have you experienced as a child being abused? Or have you abused a child? Guys, please take time to see the video of this song... It is really heart touching... And please share your opinions too. Thanks.

i have also change my picture as well. to be honest though i dont see how that is helping with this drastic problem. I dont even know what changing pictures have to do with child abuse. All i know is that i got a message saying to do it to contribute to something to do with child abuse. So i did. I though have never experience child abuse also i have never abused anyone. I cant manage knowing that people out there are doing that and that some children or experiences those things.

I heard of this campaign, the campaign is just over the weekend and people on Facebook should change their display pictures to their favourite childhood character. I do agree with you that while it is a nice stand, it isn't going to stop child abuse. If someone was going to abuse a child, they would do it regardless of what picture their friends at as their main photo. And to answer your last two questions, no I was never abused as a child and I have never abused a child, I cannot even remember the last time I touched a child (in a non-perverse sense) since I am not a maternal person.

everyone of us, came to the stage of being a child. and watching this video about children also made me cry. it really helps of changing our pictures in facebook although its only on monday, why not give our little sacrifice and the advocacy of fighting against child abuse. its also good for us to think of our childhood, the cartoons that we had enjoyed and watched when we are still kiddo. i change my picture to jamie of Voltes 5, since i am an avid fan of it when i was in elementary. i got also to memorize the opening song of it. LOL. but the real thing here, let's us fight for not letting child be abused. they have the right to play, enjoy their youth. i remember the line in the movie entitled "finding neverland" the line goes something like this, in a second, a child can grow as man. so, lets not be weary, let our children have enjoy their life while they are young, and for us as YOUNG ONCE, respect their right. :)

There are every type of people and short tempered are not very little part of all . Yes i think its insane to abuse anything , specially the meaning of every parents life - their child . Those people are not normal . Yes i've heard of it and i normally have my picture always as animation hero so i did not change it :) I was never abused as a child - i have lovely parents and i hope one that i will be like them one day .
