I call my boyfriend "baby". I used to hate this term of endearment but when I called him that, it's like it's so sweet. LOL. It's really sweet if you call it to the one you really love.

I don't usually do the honey, baby, sweetie, boo thing. At the most I will use a variation of their name. Like I might call them by their first initial. I wish I could genuinely use those traditional love names. I think that it makes the relationship sweeter. I once had bf who told me his name, but he had an accent and I mispronounced it. I continued, knowingly, to call him the wrong name to this day. He responds and he knows if he hears someone call him that name it's got to be me or someone I know. He has never corrected me, either.

it usually feels awkward for me to suggest a term of endearment for my partner that i end up following what he calls me.
we call each other babe or baby.
its funny that even when we argue we still call each other such.
what makes this term of endearment special is no one partner has the same term for me... babe is meant for my current man and i dont intend to use it in the future if we ever arent gona end up together...he's always my baby, no one else.

Actually I call him "Daddy" and he calls me "Baby"
There is a story behind it, but I can;t just discuss it here...
