I've got some problems with prohibited music and vids that i posted on the site. This i understand but there are times when I even posted my own video from out own christmas party and they said that it is an owned video and it's not mine authentically.... I mean.. how could that be?... I'm deeply disturbed about this.. could anyone suggest something?
Thank you! ^-^

If it's really your own video, shot by you, in other words you're the copyright holder you can appeal YouTube's decision. They then will look into the matter and hopefully recognize your video as being yours.
If you're adding music to the video and that music is not yours then yes YouTube has the right to remove your video.

this makes no sense to me. What about all conceret footage people put on there. I know sometimes the sound isn't CD quality and sometimes, it'a even distrorted b ecause the music is too loud. But someof it is prety good, like J. Geils from DTE or Kid Rock from Comerica. Also, I would think that YouTube would recognize that this is a home video and explain a litle further exactly why they didn't accept it. But you no what? They don't have tot now. I'll bet the first 6 months, maybe even the first year after youtube went up, hye would have had no problem accepting that video.

hmmmm... the video is entirely mine and I did not edit anything. I shot the video, which is about a dance, which of course with music but it was a remix. I guess I'll take your suggestion, I guess I was just caught off guard, like "t is this?".. because it was my first time to receive a message from the youtube admin. hehehe!

Hi friend, The best way is instead of you to argue with Youtube about your position you can create a new account and then try to upload your Videos. Because in your earlier Youtube account if somebody marked your videos as spam or suspicious one then the site admin will block your account to prevent adding more videos. you might have got mail from the Youtube admin team. Please response to that email with proper explanation to get activate your account again or else simple create a new account and then upload your new videos. Hope this will works. Thanks.

ok! I'll do that! but I'm glad, it did not reach to that point yet. It's still a warning though. :)
But I'm glad that no one has marked my videos yet...
If ever I would make a new account, I could not upload some of my videos because most of my files got burned in my last computer. heheheh! bad luck I suppose.. :)

Did you shoot the video yourself? Did you add any music? Was there any music in the background of the video? Sorry to say it, but if the bots recognize music in the background that belongs to one of the big media six policing for copyright material then your video either gets muted or removed. Yes, there are people who get away with it all the time but that doesn't change the fact that they have the right to remove your video if it contains material that doesn't belong to you. It's in the rules, and there's a warning that's displayed every time you upload a video.
The best thing to do is to only post videos that you have all the rights to. You shot it, you made the music or have explicit permission from the artist or record label to use the music, and you own it. Then you run no risks of feuding with copyright law again.

So the music was playing in the background at the time when you recorded it? Yeah, it's tough but they can nab you for that too if they want. It's not really YouTube's fault so much as the copyright holders who have been suing YouTube to keep their material off the site. Hope you get it all straightened out!

yup! I shot the video personally. and there is music to it, but it was a remix and it was all part of the shot. The video content was about a dance in that party. also there are plenty of people's laughter and voices in the back ground. anyways, thank you very much, I'll try fixing it up with the moderators. :)
