Long distance relationships.

Have you been in a long distance relationship? I have.. the longest time we were away from each other was 6 months. I hated it and I would never do it again. What about you, and if you haven't, would you ever do it?

They're relatively possible if you've already had at least a couple of months close together. For me, I would've managed, but I guess my partners were not as strong-willed as I was.

Yeah, It's amazing that I did put up with it for so long but for other reasons the relationship ended, what a waste of effort on my end. ahaha!

I live in Africa and my wife lives back in the US... we have to communicate via skype everyday, and if you include the time scales, that means I have to wake up early in the morning so we can have a conversation... It kind of sucks, but then it makes me realize how precious my wife and children are... I think that if you really love your partner, distance relationships make you realize that you love them even more^^ Once the distance relationship is over, I think you will feel like you will want to cherish every moment that you spend with your partner/family!^^

Well, I did put up for it a long time, out of love, but in the end the relationship didn't work out.

I had ... few times, and never worked. :) For me, it's just wasting my energy and money. But anyway, I believe LDR still works on some couples with strong feelings and trust.

Yes,I do! My hubby works in a cruise ship so he has to leave us for about 6 months,be with us for only 2 months every year,it has been like that for almost 8 years now but our love for each other grew stronger than ever. It's hard to have a long distance affair but if you really love your partner,you will definitely make a way on how to make it work. We see each other on skype almost everyday but we never get tired of it because he misses me so much as much as I do.
