This is Entertainment?

Do people really like all the disgusting garbage found in practically all the tv shows today? Besides the nudity and total lack of morals and decency, there's also too graphic violence and gore, as well as a fixation on "bodily functions." For example, I was reading a description of an episode from the second season of the new Hawaii Five 0 (which is a travesty and an insult to the original). Apparently at one point the H50 team all get food poisoning. Is it really entertainment to watch a bunch of people all puking their guts out? Is this kind of trash a result of audience demand, or a plan of the "entertainment industry" to destroy culture and civilization? Thank God for DVD's so we can watch the old TV shows, which provide real entertainment and a diversion form everyday life, rather than an extension of it.

I have to agree that the quality of tv shows has deteriorated over the years. A lot of the things on today are pure garbage and things I would never watch. I'd rather turn off the television and do something else then watch some of these shows. Your food poisoning thing makes a good point, I've seen people who have had it and it's really not a pretty site. But that's not as bad as this one show I heard about. Apparently, it's some show where the girl gets plastic surgery or something like that right before her wedding day and they have the final unveiling during the wedding. I thought that the premise for the show was the stupidest thing ever. Who the heck would want to see something like this and better yet, who would want to go and do this on television.

I don't watch TV serial because they are boring and waste of time for me. I think if you watch a TV serial then you have to watch it daily to understand it. I don't have this much time to give to serials. Sometimes I like some serials but I am not a regular there. Thank you and have a nice day ahead.

Entertainers can't please everyone. There is no such thing as one size fits all entertainment.

you see it's really saddening on how people view entertainment now a days. yes, I also consider all the disgusting shows in tv garbage. I really can't stand people enjoying such shows like these. my dad is also a fan of old music and old movies by the way. he can't stop expressing how beautiful the shows or songs are before.
