I love reading many forms of literature and I am currently doing a lot of reading about horses and horse stories. I believe that I have several authors that I relate too, but I was wondering who your favorite author is?
I enjoy Margaruerite Henry, Walter Farley, Anna Sewell as well as Adriana Trigiania, Phyllis Whitney, and the lady who wrote the Boxcar Children series. I remember the last name is Warner, but can not remember her first name.
So what types of books do you like and who is your favorite author?

I like to read ordinary stories about ordinary people in an ordinary life.
I do not want tot have to think when I read....ex: if I have to remember who a lot of people are....I don't like to read mysteries, because there is thinking involved...lol....my sister laughs at me because I don't want to 'think' when I read.
I like family stories, about lives of ordinary people.
LaVeryle Spencer was my favorite for a long time and I think I have read everything of hers.
Right now, ironically, I am reading Airport by Arthur Hailey and it was written about 1968.
I love to read and I have to read every night before bed....I wish I have more time to read...and find those new 'Kindles" very interesting.

I really can't pick my favorite author. I have loads that I love but I can't really decide who I love the most. I almost don't want to pick.
I really enjoy high fantasy novels. The kind of fantasy that takes place entirely in its own made-up world. I also enjoy Christian fantasy allegories and urban fantasies. Some of my favorite authors are Terry Brooks, Cinda Williams Chima, Ted Dekker, Bryan Davis, Bruce Coville, Donita K. Paul, and Gail Carson Levine.

Hi dear,
It was a passion for me to read grate novels in my own language and there are world famous novels already in our language which is translated into many other languages as well. Many characters were so touching and very much interesting. But recently the desire to read more has tremendously reduced due to various reasons. When we are more indulged with responsible things, the time dedicated to reading also reduces.
However, many writers are well know and my favourate writer is MD Vasudevan Nair. His book ‘Nalu Kettu’ is well known and famous.
Thank-s

Stephenie meyer of the Twilight Series is one of my favorite author, i didn't imagine myself reading vampire stories til i got hold of the Twilight novel, from then on it made me realize that vampire stories ain't that piece of crap after all.
then there is Dan Brown behind the thrilling Da Vinci Code that really distracted catholic society for a while. it so amazing how these authors could made me be a part of the world they created, letting me view their perspective which they want my mind to conceive. i salute them, my favorite authors.

I prefer reading paranormal romances most of all. Other genres I read are crime, young adult, historical romances and stories that take the characters on a journey. Some of my favorite authors are Laurie faria Stolarz, Christine Feehan, Nora Robert, JD Robb, Francine Pascal, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Patricia Cornwell and a lot of others. The list could go on forever.

I enjoy a variety of different books but I guess one of my favorite authors was V.C. Andrews before she passed. She still has books published but it is a ghost writer that the family has hired. I could tell most right away that although the stories were pretty much based on the same things..there was something very different. I didn't even know she had passed when I read the first one..I just thought she was losing her touch. I like Anne Rice and Stephen King too. I don't limit myself to these authors but I do enjoy them.

I actually prefer fantasy over regular fiction, as such my favorite authors are: R.A. Salvatore and the Hickman and Weis Partnership.
These authors are very good in describing action, so much so that after you wake up the following day, it would seem more like you watched a movie rather than read a book.
