Making half of a pot of coffee.

This is a silly question, but it has been on my mind all day. My boss sometimes comes in on Saturdays to hang out in his office, and he likes coffee. I did not want to make a whole pot, as he would be the only one drinking it this morning, but I was unsure of how to make a half pot. I know I put half as much water in, but do also use half of the ground coffee? I was afraid to do it that way just in case it caused it to taste different. Help is appreciated.

Maybe a little less than half of the usual amount of coffee. The little more to be sure it has the right flavor. So it won't take different. I haven't made coffee in years. My daughter always makes it now days. I hope it all turns out well for you. I do love my coffee and usually have a couple of cups a day.

Just divide the whole pot in half - the ingredients that is. For me, a whole pot consists of 10-12 cups and two rounded things of coffee grounds. So, naturally, for half a pot, I would do only 1 scoop and half as many cups of water. Making coffee is pretty hard to screw up, I'm sure you do just fine. Plus, if your boss doesn't like it..Well he (or she) should make their own coffee! lol
