This is what my Friend said to me last Night laughing
We where watching the Weather as of course we have had terrible Weather here, as I saw it I said ..."Yeah right they never get it right, I mean -7 yeah ok"..........Both Karen and Rob looked at me and said "Gabs that is not our Area Girl" we are the one with -5"
So I asked them what they where on about ?
They said that we where a bit further up, well I was so disgusted and just said...." No wonder the Weather is never right when I am looking at the wrong bl**dy Area" I mean it used to say Beautiful Sunshine and warm, well we got Rain ...........or Rain and breezy and we got lovely Sunshine....now I know why the Weather Man was never right
Both of them just burst out laughing at me and said "Oh Gabs you are so sweet and you are just you, never change" Yeah I will stay a blonde for Life I guess
I felt pretty stupid, but was mad at the Weatherman, I mean why can't he just say the actual Place at least then I would know where the Rain or Sun will be 
But don't you agree if the Weather Man would state the actual Area I would know where he means?
I was bad at Geography at School anyway so how am I suppose to figure their stupid Map ???

I am back on and off my friend. I am finished with school and now have a business degree and have time to read my emails from myLot. I am now looking for a full time job.
I do not understand the weather sometimes. We have a thing on the tv dish that lets us look up the current temp and this morning it said we were down to 23 degrees. We did not have frost on the roof tops. Then it flipped over and said our area's temp was 46 that was more like it. I first thought wow our house insulation was doing great because we did not have the heater on all night and the house was only 62 degrees.
Weather men are just guessing I think.
miss you and thanks for being my friend and always being there for me.

As for the Weather well here we are freezing just not as much as the other Place was lol

I am back to working part time for the doctor I have been working for, for a few years. I have been busy this week working at his office getting the application ready to send out for accreditation. I had some ethical issues come up that I had to take to him today. Now I have to sit in a meeting with him to discipline an employee. Why me I did not make the error I just found them. I am not the boss I am just the peon who found the error. Oh well I guess being fat I show muscle. heehee

hi gabs I do agree with you the stupid weather man should
have told the area.You were not stupid and I am calling
that weather man stupid. this reminds me of dinner tonight
I asked for lemonade from the server and she gave me a tepid
glass of almost warm lemonade, it sure tasted flat. My table
mate said "why don't you ask for a new glass of lemonade with
ice in it from the server." not wanting to make waves I said,
" oh its 
okay I am okay."
she smiled and called to the server "we need
another glass of lemonade here." when I got it she said
"your son was right,you are a wuss." We both laughed
and steve looked at us and asked "Whats a wuss?" that set us
off again then I explained that my son said "You do not assert
yourself as much as you should and let people walk on you, you
are such a wuss." I think that is a real word but it means
one who does not like to make waves. "oh" he said and'
smiled. We went off again, and people at other tables must
have thought we were nuts.

Personally, I think I missed my calling, I should've become a geographer or geologist or one of those things. I love that stuff.
I used to watch the weather in college and learned to be pretty good at predicting the weather. I actually had a better record for over a year then the guys who went to school for that stuff. But... haven't done it much since then.1 person likes this

Wouldn't want u to change , love u just the way u are. I noticed on gg's discussion u were born in 1961 so was my oldest son in may, Glad u & gissi are in a nice warm place now. looks like y'all have had some really bad weather. Hope y'all don't have to get out in it.

Here my weatherman does call out my town & he STILL gets the weather WRONG!!!!
When my Gramps was still alive, the weatherman said one day "it's going to start raining at 5:00 pm". My Gramps rubbed his arthritic knee & said "nope, it's going to start raining at 1:30". To make a long story short...it started raining at 1:29. So, I learned to listen to my Gramps over the weatherman. Now that Gramps is no longer with us, I NEVER know what the weather will be!!!! 
Here my weatherman does call out my town & he STILL gets the weather WRONG!!!!

Well, Gabs, he had them old bones for over 80 years at the time. I guess he had learned them very well!!! 
Actually he did that regularly. Why I learned to trust him over the weatherman!!!

Sweety, most of us actually know where we live...
The thing is, the weather is so changeable at the moment, it's very hard for the TV stations to get things right. I go to my own weather sites on the computer. I can actually track the rain that way using a satellite.

I listen to the CBC, a national broadcaster with regional stations... Quite often they'll give the weather for half of southern Ontario at the same time, and by the time they're finished, I've forgotten what it was for my little corner.

I would think they need a better weatherman! Ours of course hit it right on the nail...depending on which channel you are watching! LOL....our locals don't do as good of a job and the national ones do....but you are just Gabs....the lovely blonde who can make life so interesting! Glad you are just you!

I have to say that I am the same way! I never did well in anything
that had a map either. If the Weatherman doesn't "show me" exactly
the area that I live in I don't know what he's talking about either!
And half the time even when I'm staying in I'm checking the weather
anyway and my bf teases me! He says I'm not going anywhere so why
do I need to know? I just do! Someone needsto watchthe
weather! Last year we had the worst storm and he was at work. I kept
telling him to leave, it's really awful out, I'm afraid they will
take the busses off the road! It was snowing hard and piling up
quick! Well my stubborn man ignored me! By the time he left work
at 8:00PM,he was stuck very far from home, no busses on the road and
he had to walk in the freezing snow home! He got home at 1:00AM!
Need I say more! I will continue to "watch" the weather even if
I'm not quite sure if it's spot on~

I always watch the Weather to as I just like to know what the Weather will be like the next Day that's all

I can see the funny side gabs but I don’t think you’re stupid because I too cannot understand why the weatherman doesn’t just name the place he’s talking about! Here they do state the name of the town or city and then state the predicted temperature which makes a lot more sense; I mean, who’s got the time or the inclination to study a map in order to find out what the temperature is going to be! Oh…And yes you are sweet, gabs!

I understand how you feel about how the weather seems to not always have the right forcast for us. I use to get frustrated with that.
Now I go to http://www.intellicast.com/ and look up my own area as well as watch weather going on around us to know what is coming. I get a better idea doing it this way than depending on the weather reports.

Oh, my dear Gabs, it wasn't you who was wrong, the weatherman is to blame. Why do they need to show those stupid maps and tell us about cold front and other insane things. Why don't they say loud and clear where it will be sunny and where it will rain?

Because they are stupid.
They don't know what to do in order to increase their audience, because nobody watches their weather reports any more. Who would like to watch such a weather report, when they forget to specify where is the sunny place and where's the rainy one.

I have a hard time deciding which area I am in, they block it up in chunks. I live in a small enough town that they do not usually say our name. I have to look at all the towns they do mention and sort of guess an average. On the other hand, I never expect them to be right.

Hi gabs, LOL! That was funny. I've always thought that the weatherman did a pretty good job but there are those who live near me and say he's never right. Maybe now I have the answer. We have been experiencing unseasonably mild weather for the past couple of weeks but it has been wet. Blessings.
