Friends, I am aware of the statements in the Vedic teachings regarding the appearance of the Kalki avatar at the end of the Kali -yuga. At that time the entire human population will become so demoniac that there will be no solution other than killing them and bringing in a new pious age. This will happen 427,000 years from now. And within this present degraded materialistic age of Kali there is a 10,000 era of spiritual enlightenment known as the Caitanya Era. This era began with the advent of Lord Caitanya in 1486. It is predicted in the Vedic wisdom that during this Caitanya Era the entire human population will become inundated with Krishna consciousness, even those who demoniac (someone who acts as if possessed by a demon) 427, 000 years is so far, why panic from now? Friends, do you this world is going to end now as we read in various discussions? I don’t believe lol. Please share your views. Thank you so much in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

Movies are entertainment not truth tellers . No I am sure the world will not end because sp,e movie said it would. Did not anyone ever use the plain old common use plain old common sense? Or do they even know what common sense is?

Nothing will come to an end right now. But there are mythological stories like 'Armageddon', there are popular beliefs from human race, there are alarm bell from environmentalists, and so many other threats. As such, even if we feel safe for hundreds of centuries to come, it may not be so. We may perish sooner than that either by employing self-destructive weapons, or, by shear force of natural calamities. The future of our civilization is not very safe unless we just initiate the process of restoration right now.

I beg to differ with all of you! The way all these countries are not complying with non-nuclear buildup, we are going to wipe each other out, we all have that capability now! North Korea is already bombing South Korea, the terrorists are attacking other countries all over the world, and Pakistan is protecting them from us going in there and getting the terrorists! Iran is building up their Nuclear Arsenal, and you don't think they are on the good side, do you? The United Nations is a waste of time, they are supposed to police the world, and haven't done anything at all! It's gonna happen a lot sooner than you think, and it doesn't have anything to do with 2012!

Hey, Prof! There are many end-of-the-world theories, each seen as certain among a particular religious or cultural group. Any or none could be right. Frankly, those that involve violence are not acceptable to my way of thinking, in any way! There isn't much any individual can do to affect these events. What we can and must do is make the best of every day we have, be the best people we can, and hope life will be better as time goes by...

Hello Professor, Oh, for petes sake Any religion or even teachings doesn't really spefically explain why the world has to end, but they sure have scary tales. UNLESS we wanted to indirectly, the human race will go on. we are still a young race compare to other older Civilizations out there who prefer more science and logic than religion and emotion to rely on judgment. Or unless we get hit by the Suns Solar Flare or we literally killed our atmosphere with pollution, I could say, there's still hope.

If the whole world collapses now, who would be living to describe the grim events? Then why worry over the inevitable destruction of the earth.

I think the movie 2012 really affecting many people to fear thats doom day will come. I believe no one can predict the end of the world. So I just life my life the best I can and keep my faith in me. I don't think the end will end now because its not our prediction will happen but its God totally veto to decide when is the right time.

Eventhough I don't have any idea about Vedic teaching as you said. I'm never ever believe the end of the world is near, only God knows when it will happen, no other teaching can predict the end of the world, unless direct from God itself. All we are seen now are all sign, imagination and wild thinking of human... Nobody knows... see you around.
