My book wasn't finished, so I kept writing. I'm a bit obsessed. It's even getting in the way of my legit. work. I have to stop now, however, because I've got to edit a previous NaNo novel before the first of January. A small press publisher told me to submit it then and the first three chapters really have to POP. You know what I mean? But as for NaNo, are you having as hard a time letting go as me, or are you totally fed up with it, or are you experiencing letdown because it's over? Let's hear from all you NaNoWriMo's out there.

I attempted to do Nanowrimo, but I couldn't find motivation or a plot. I managed 300 words and gave up. I do respect you for continuing with your novel.

Thank you. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience. There's always next year. I know sometimes motivation is a real issue. I'm having trouble motivating with my paying work right now. Not good. You know, Script Frenzy starts in April. Maybe that's your thing.

The people at Script Frenzy do training for all of that. It's really great. I was going to do it one year, but life got in the way, lol. I think I had a lot of work that month. Anyway, check out the tutorials; they're really helpful.

I'm pleased that we could introduce you to NaNoWriMo. It's found at http//:www.nanowrimo.org . I'm only sorry you didn't learn of it sooner. You could have written your book with the rest of us nuts. Hopefully, you will go for it next year. My son teases me that the certificates don't mean anything if anyone can get one, but I disagree. I think they mean a lot. I've kept all of mine, and I intend to. Hey, you should give Script Frenzy a try. You might really like it. I'll look up the address.

I haven't really had to let go of my project because i posted a little bit of it on the web everyday so I'm also editing just a little before i post. I am really happy with this novel i like it must better than last years effort which also won. I'm not really doing heavy editing ill save that for March when its national editing month i think after i post the last of it on the web in its rough form i will go away from it for a month period and then go back to it.

I did NaNoWriMo this year and last year. Last year I finished at roughly 51,000 words. This year, I reached the required 50,000 words but I think that my novel is probably about 40,000 words longer. I haven't worked on it since my month ended cause this is my finals / final projects week at college, but I do plan to finish it. I still haven't done a whole lot of editing work on my first NaNo, which I'm planning on focusing on once this novel is finished.
I love NaNoWriMo and I hope to do it again and again every year! I just love spilling out a new story! It does kind of take over at times, but not to a point that I think it's unhealthy. Yeah, I'm frustrated with my writing sometimes but that's just me being frustrated at my writing. I don't need Nano for that. And yeah, it's over. But I write every day of the year and I'm not going to quit just cause NaNo is done.

That's awesome that you write every day. I haven't been that disciplined until this NaNo rolled around. I have two previous NaNo novels that need editing, and another that I just sat down and wrote that needs major work. I do have trouble sometimes because I'm a freelance writer and the pull of my novels is so strong, it can be hard to concentrate on dry or difficult material. But, I know what side my bread is buttered on - at least for now. Right? lol. Congratulations on your NaNo successes. I hope you do keep it up every year. I'll be right there with you.

I also have trouble sitting down to work on editing. I'm always anxious to start a new book and get going on a new adventure... even though the old one needs work! That's something I'm going to need to really work on. I think my previous Nano has a lot more potential than anything else that I've written so far, so I really do want to get working on it! I hope you have lots of luck revising your novels and finishing your new projects.

that's great, you are so fired up, so inspired that you can't stop
i'm just begining, i wrote my book once but then i feel it is not perfect so i'm writing a 'script' to don't forget anything anymore in the book, i'm checking the same script over and over and kind of don't want to start to really writting afraid that it's not perfect enough

Wow, you sound totally dedicated AND organized. I've got the dedication I think, but organization? Not so much. lol. They call me a pantser because I write by the seat of my pants instead of outlining. I just do it all in my head way ahead of time. Then it develops as it goes. That's writing to me. Glad to see your post here.
