Today, I came across a news about googling yourself in another language egosurfing or egogoogling? Did you searched for your own name in google anytime?
TO know more about egosurfing?

As far as I am concerned, I have done it many times. What I found is my name in couple of admission lists, and some discussion which I have participated in. Nothing more than that.
Happy mylotting

I am not ashamed to admit I have done it a few time (2 or 3 maybe). I actually think it is good to do it, especially if you are looking for a job or something like that, because potential employers might do it too, so you should know what comes up!

Good points. There have been people who have been fired from their job because of what they have put on their facebook profile etc.

It is just interesting to do so. It can lead to some really curious things. Just to see if someone shares a similar person. And I've found some odd things, like scientists and a race car driver that was similar to my name. Then I found some old web pages of mine that I made way back in the day. Pages that I thought were long gone. Of course its been some time, so they might be gone by now.

A few times I've done it. By searching my real name, I found info about many people with exactly my same name (I have a quite common name in my country), but nothing about me really.
By searching my nickname, I found many post on forums I've done, togheter with a bunch of completly unrelated pages. Nothing strange so far.

Oh yes! Definitely! I searched but found quite boring results and my name even appeared on a ship?! Haha, last time when I was in high school, my friends and I would often use the computer to search for each others' names and all came out with different but interesting results.
