Yes it could, but it never lasts...either you end up being lovers or you part ways...just speaking basing on my experience, but I'm speaking for my self...my cousin has a friend who loves her a lot but she doesn't love him in that way, their still good friends till now... I guess it depends upon the people involved...

It might end in a normal relationship or you part away, but the other person always will rest in your mind. This kind of love is difficult to forget.

Yes, platonic relationship exists. Based on a love between two persons who cannot enter into a normal relationship because of several reasons. Those might be: difference of age, belonging to different cultures what makes difficult a normal relationship, one of them or both are already married and maybe have also children, anything which makes a normal relationship impossible. In my case, I love platonic love as I understand it like a pure love. This kind of love can dure a whole live. History showed already several examples.

I think that is a kind of relationship that has no expectations. You just love the other without waiting or expecting him/her to return the love you gave.

Yes I think it does, I have had a completely platonic relationship with a man for over 20 years now, we met at school, and even though he was interested in me and my feelings were not the same for him, we became best friends we shared beds, drinks and feelings through relationships marriages and divorces. even though we now live over 200 miles apart thanx to texting and facebook we have been able to keep in touch. Sometimes our other halfs do not agree with our friendship they just have to like it and they get used to it.
