Who are you closer to- your mother or father

I grew up closer to my mother. As we grow, my siblings and i usually would tell our mother what we would like to buy or have and she in turn will tell our father for his approval and for the money , of course. It is always our mother we are with, because we are aloof to our father, being a disciplinarian,not that we are rowdy or bad. But we know that our father loves us dearly. Now that we all got married and our parents are older already, i noticed that the aloofness we have for our father was gone. We are not a family who is fond of hugging , but as my parents grew older we can already hug and kiss them whenever we like. We can already go straight to him for whatever we need to talk or for any other need. I can now truly say, that i am already closer to my father, but it doesn't mean i am not close to my mother anymore. Can you tell also if you are closer to your mom or your dad?
