I think most of the soccer fans will be very upset to see their favorite club fall really down to bottom of the league..Like West ham for example, they are in the bottom of premier league at the moment and I don't think they will survive from relegation zone this season..Liverpol is another example, they really suffer from owner problem till injured players and now still struggling in the middle of the table but maybe they will climb up once find good players during january transfer window..So how about you? What you will do if to see that happen on your favorite club? Are you still loyal or prefer to support other team?

I think you are wrong. I am a Bayern Munchen fan since I watch football and I was very young then. I knew almost nothing about them and I fell in love with them. Now, many could say that I am an "opportunist" like you said, but it is not true. I never changed my favorite team and I will never do it, unless they will sell or buy games. I think if this would happen, I would quit watching football. But until then I will be a huge Bayern, German national team and Hungarian national team fan, who suffers a lot after his team is beaten, who is delighted when sees them winning and whose main concern is how his team is doing. I quitted many opportunities just to watch Bayern, Germany or Hungary games. Many times my friends say that I am fanatic, but that is who I am.

A real supporter always stands by the club no matter what?a person who shifts their support from one team to another as they are not performing well should not even deserved to call a fan if support one team support it all your life.
Like millions of other fans around the world iam also just another fan of manu i dont even feel like eating and dont get sleep when they lose you guys may think it is an obsession.History, legacy, reputation what doesn't this club have. The best thing i like about manu is that they scout for talented players and with no doubt they are the best in the world in scouting for players and make them perform well.
I will always support manu no matter what happens i and all the fans expect much from our club and i cant deny that they are really giving their 100% in every match thats what a supporter likes to see isnt it!

Hi omchesunche,
I am a Liverpool supporter since early 90s. And I would stick with it forever, during up and down. Once Reds always Reds.
I do not understand why we should swift our support from one team to other when our team has a crisis or drop in the standing. If that the case, then we are not the real fan of the club. We support them because they were at the top. Once they drop or even worst regulated, we left them.
I love to see the Newcastle United fans. They were really amazing. They still support and come to the stadium even when they play at the first division. I do not know if this would be the case if Manchester United were regulated (fan base mostly from outside the Manchester).
Back to Liverpool, I hope they could make a few signing during the transfer window and/or give more chances to the youth to show their capability. I really hope this new owner has money to spend, not like the previous one.
You'll Never Walk Alone.....

I have supported Arsenal for the past 21 years. From George Graham to Steward Houston, Bruce Rioch and Arsene Wenger. From champions to mid table team to champion and again to trophyless season. But not once did I ever thought of supporting another team. Unless they totally drop out of the professional league, I will still be supporting them.

This is the case with Bayern Munchen as well, they are on a terrible position for their standards in the Bundesliga. But for me it doesn't come in question to support another team. People who only "support" their team when they are successful are not fans at all. They are people with low character, who only say that they are supporters of a team to be cool. Like the case with Barcelona. I know many people who were once big Real fans and after Ronaldinho joined Barcelona they claimed to be great Barca supporters and they said that they were fans from childhood.
I think that you have to know the philosophy of a team and the history of that team to be able to decide if that is the same with your principles. I am sure that I would ask many people what they know about Barcelona, they wouldn't even know that they are Catalans and are against Madrid because of the cultural differences.

Personally, I will say that it is not going to happen...I am a die-hard United fan and I love United not because of their position in the league, but for their way of playing the ball...I think I am born to be United and nothing can change that even if they are at the relegation zone...
