Tomorrow is my special someone's birthday: What to do?

Tomorrow is my boyfriend's birthday..seriously i don't have any idea what to do. His friends are away..so we'll gonna spend his birthday together..we're planning to go out for dinner tomorrow and..i feel like it would be so plain if i won't do anything special for him...i don't even have a gift yet cause i was planning to take him tomorrow to a store where he can choose what shoes he wants (since i know he wants one) and that's already my gift to him..but now i just have no idea what to do..I'm clueless..was planning to give him a cake later..but i got an appointment on the afternoon and i was scared that the cake might melt..cause i don't have any place where to keep it..my home is far from my appointment so i was planning to buy the cake..keep it on my car..be at the appointment then after that go to his house..thou.. the appointment might take only for an hour...but i'm worried about the cake.

hi! regards to your boyfriend's birthday. anyways, what is important on that special day is that you are with him, not just of his birthday but everytime he needed you most. there where cakes that are available that where not easily melted. why not contact a cake house and ask for their cakes, if their cakes be easily melted or not. state also your condition, they will understand you. good luck and enjoy the night with him. :)
