Hello, I am wanting to buy my girlfriend a laptop for Christmas, seeing as she doesn't have a computer, and I wanted to talk to her evermore, so I was wondering what the best laptop is to buy for her? Also what is your favorite based on personal experience? Her last laptop broke by her dropping it.
She is:
Not too smart so would like something easy and simple.
Kind of clumsy so would like something durable
Small so something lightweight.

That would be a great gift. As far as I am concerned particularly about the services, I would recommand you Dell. They provide excellent services as long as you warranty is valid. We get dell laptops at different rates. Mine I bought last year. It is dell vostro 1014 with good configuration and I just paid Rs 35000(=$700) and now you may get it for lower price.

They say that Hp is really good, I've had a dell inspiron for four years and it's been very sturdy and strong.

I have been using a Toshiba satellite laptop for quite some time now. I am very happy with it. Works well and have no glitches. I carry it along whenever I travel on my business trips. It is very light and fits into may handcarry luggage too. You might want to think about this brand for her.

I just bought an alienware from dell. They are on sale right now. Good for gaming. It is very customizable for free. You can change the backlight and fan coloring and there is even the option for a personalized name plate engraved for free. However it does have a giant alien head on the top which is not every lady's cup of tea. I would like to note that I think it's kind of rude to imply your girlfriend is dumb just because she dropped her laptop. It's not impossible for someone to do that by accident.

I really recommend the Lenovo thinkpad. They're very lightweight and extremely well designed, I am so impressed with their products. They also have excellent customer service.

Yes, Dell all the way, especially for us simpletons!
I have only dealt with Dell computers, personally, and I'm the most comfortable with them. The good thing about Del, is that they have a payment plan, customisation options, and very reasonable prices. Very good customer services as well, and I'm just amazed at the patience of the customer service reps, I can be SUCH a dummy at times haha!!!
I think they also have a good warrenty plan as well. Anyway, best of luck in finding a good laptop, mine's Dell Inspiron 1525, I think? Ain't sure, but it seems like that. I had it for 3 years, and they also come with a re-installation CD/DVD.
