Who Are The Computer GURUS?

every time I hear about computer gurus, I don't really understand who they are. But what I know very well is that the knowledge of computer is unlimited. if somebody thinks he/she is an expert in one area, another person will be better of. A computer guru in one aspect may be a computer ignorant in another. so what are we talking about?

Guru in general means teacher, guide, there are so many kind of gurus, so experts in the field of computer are computer gurus, they know every thing in this field, can solve problems..

Well you may heard about Tech-GURUs or Computer-GURUs.. generally it is tagged when people are experienced in his/her field and can give your solution just by hearing your issue.. You can find mobile guru, java guru, .net guru, etc.. if you ignore 5% of them. rest of 95% are gurus of only his/her field.. not of all. and it's obvious that no one can be master in computer world as it is very huge and vast field where you cannot learn everything even if you spend 2-3 hours each day only behind learning.. you can be master of your field only..

I did not hear much about computer gurus. But usually people who have get knowledge in the particular field are titled guru. Or some thing like great teacher. So as you said it could probably be referred to the people with great computer knowledge. Yes as you said one may excel in one field but surely he may lack in some other field.
