Please help me. I've had this problem for almost 6 months. I turn it on, and ten minutes later, it just shuts down. This problem doesn't affect my pc now, but it can reappear at any time. Please tell me your own experiences and advice to solve this problem. It could be a virus? or is just a system problem?

It sound most like a hardware problem to me. Try first to see if the CPU cooler is working (you may use everest for this), and monitor its temperature. It may also be a power supply problem, you may try changing it if you've adding new devices recently.

It's very easy, it's a computer monitoring program that shows you many info about the workings of your computer. You can get it at http://www.lavalys.com/support/downloads/ Install and run it. Once it loads, to the left you'll see a treeview (similar to Windows explorer). There go to Computer = Sensor, and on the right pane will show a lot of info. You'll see a section "temperature", watch carefully the CPU. It never should get over 60°C or so. Check also the cooler fan speeds on the same page, it must be around at least 3000RPM but varies based on hardware. Those reports may give you an idea if those sudden resets are a temperature problem or not.

From my experience 1. Virus......Try to remove registry. If not, format is the easy way for non-tech person. 2. Check the CPU fans, VGA fans or Motherboard fans....It's heat problem. Please identify which one and I can go to details to you. :)

This generally is a sign that your CPU is over heating which is generally caused by the fan or fans not working on or inside your case the best way to check this is through BIOS once you are in that part of the computer you will be able to check the CPU temp if it is always rising and not just warming up to a temp then holding chances are a fan is out. You can also open the side of your computer case and check to make sure all your fans are working correctly as if a fan isn't working and it is the one on your motherboard this would mean you need to get a new fan for your CPU. Like I said generally this is a CPU issue. The reason you computer restarts is to cool down the CPU so it doesn't damage the Motherboard or catch on fire both of which could be dangerous. Also another sign could be that when you are using a high percentage of the CPU like having two or more programs running at once and it restarts or you are putting a heavy load on your computer and then it restarts this would point to a CPU cooling issue as the CPU gets hotter the more work it has to do.

Could be a myriad of things. My latest problem on my other PC was a faulty fan I think, either on the graphic card, or the main fan...

I had same experience, there are lot of chances for this problem.I am having some solutions for that, 1-First I request you to check your system Health Status from BIOS check the CPU temperature and CPU fan is working or not. SOLUTIONS: Fix the CPU fan and case fan properly and it's not working replace the components. Paste Heat Sink Compound on processor and Heat Sink. 2-It may be some Virus problem SOLUTION: Install one Anti-Virus software and Scan the system complete.
