I use those sticky lint rollers for clothes on carpets too when the vacuum picks it up. Also putting a shirt on her helped with the shedding. But make sure to brush them everyday.

I find a good method of removing hair from the pet. Try using the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner on the dogs and it picks the hair up really well. You can count on it. Premise is your dog not afraid of the sound of cleaner. if not, Wire brushes also brushing animals regularly helps a lot

My daughter is a groomer and the best brush to get is a slicker, like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Very-Gentle-Doggyman-Dog-Grooming-Slicker-Brush-Small-/380075329500?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item587e4147dc By brushing the dog at least three times a week, it should cut down on the hair. Also vacuuming three times a week will keep it from overwhelming your house.

Do you have any used stockings? Put a stocking on you broom and bind it. It's very useful for clean the lose hair on the floor.
