Dominica is an island country in the Caribbean. It is know as the "Nature Isle of the Caribbean" with it's unspoiled nature and beauty. This country is not to be mistaken with the Dominican Republic. The stress is in the second 'i' when pronouncing it's name compared to the Dominican Republic. This country has been colonized by the French and British in the past and gained it's independence in 1978. This is one of the only East Caribbean islands left with native Caribs. There are a lot of centenarians here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominica Does anyone live here or has visited here?

I have heard of it, of course but I have never been there. Have you visited it? How do you get there? I usually go to Aruba because air ticket is cheaper than to other places at the Caribbean.

I used to know somwone who was born there but she grew up in one of the U.S. Virgin Islands, She once told me that if she ever goes back to Dominica it would only be for a vacation spot for her.
