Will you try to get the same old phone number in case you lost it?Why?

Hi friends!I ran into an old friend today and he asked me if I still use the same telephone number.I wanted to tell him that I have already changed my number sveral times since I often lost my phone.Whenever I loose it,I just go to a shop and get whatever number appeals to me.A friend of mine told me that she lost her phone too and number but then she goes to the shop and asked them to make the same number as she had before.How about you?Is it your intention also to retain the same phone number once you lost it?
