Are you brand-conscious?

I admit I am, but to a certain extent. I can define my status as a practical spender making sure that I am getting a quality brand that would last a lifetime or a thing that could resists the wear and tear. On the other hand, I can be super thrift and go for things that are less expensive but with great value. When it comes to clothing, furnitures, shoes, and other electronic appliances, I would readily go for branded stuff. What's yours?

Quality comes first. This is what I always look for when buying something.

I am, to some extent. After all, branded products are long lasting, more valuable and easily recognizable despite being expensive.

well it'll have to depend on what exactly it means by being brand-conscious. literally speaking, i'm a very brand-conscious person. i always buy only from certain brands, regardless of what it is. for clothes, especially bottoms, i only buy from european brands. i live in the asia pacific region and the asian brands have bottoms that are way too short for me. as for home items e.g. furnitures or electronic appliances, i also only go for certain brands. this is because of the poor quality or reputation the other brands have and my personal experience with those that i like. however, i'm not into designer brands. i won't pay more just for the brand or the design. if i can get the quality i want at a certain price, i won't pay a single cent more for the brand.

hi I am brand conscious on some things and store brand on others. goods like paper towels and toilet tissue I can go generic and get a large break on price but some items like cosmetics I am very particular 'as I have shampoo from herbal essence and hair conditioner as this really helps my hair.I like revlon best for mylipstick as it has a moisturizer in it that helps my dry lips. I also used to use barellis whole wheat pasta with omega oil added as it does not shoot up my blood sugar. but now in Gold Crest I do not do any cooking.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'branded'. Everything has a brand. And yeah, I am conscious of the brand, because if I buy food from a company, and it tastes bad, I'm not buying that brand anymore. Similarly, if I buy some pants that fall apart after one day, I'm not buying that brand of pants anymore. Now, if you mean do I need some BIG NAME BRAND whatever.... no. I couldn't care less what brand it is, as long as it work, and is good quality. So I'll buy the cheapest high quality stuff I can get. I don't need "Fruit of the Loom" on my underwear. Who cares? As long as it fits, it's clean, and it doesn't fall apart the first week, I don't care what the name on it is.

Hello, I am not brand conscious. But I do a lot of survey before buying something important. For regular T-shirts, cell phones, books etc I don't go after any specific brand. But when it comes to big things like computer gadgets, television sets etc I usually start with a survey. It's not that I have a brand in everything and I don't limit my buying pattern in any particular brand. I love to explore and I do the same in everything I buy. My father was a bit brand conscious, so he bought me an Intel motherboard, but that motherboard didn't even go a year. Now I have GForce motherboard that's proved to be more robust and durable. So sticking to a particular brand doesn't always give you the optimum result. Thanks. God bless you.

I generally dont prefer branded clothes. I am happy if I get something good to wear, which has got good ambience and which is durable. I dont go behind branded stuff since I dont believe so much in branded. So whatever I buy, I dont go for branded.

It depends on what things I am purchasing. For example, if I am purchasing Computers, Electronic item like music players, cellphones, digital cameras etc. I am brand conscious. And it is because of the service and established reputation (main reason is I am spending so much, I better go for branded so that no problems duing warranty). But for clothes, shoes etc. I prefer to quality products then it may not be branded some local stores but which of good quality and of great comfort as well. So, overall I wont say I am much brand conscious.

Hi there, Well I’m not really a brand conscious. I can use any product as long as I know it’s safe. Like for example in terms of clothes I can wear anything and there are many times that I check clothes with less expensive but I know its fit on me. Brand for me is not really a question though I have branded items as well.

Me I'm not so brand conscious especially in clothes, shoes and on some appliances. I will just make it sure that I will check the things I will buy. Because the price is a big difference for the branded and not branded. And it is big thing for me because of my limited budget. But of course I'm not against of a branded items, it's much better especially the quality. Happy lotting.

Hello dynzdolina, This speaks from your financial aspect. If you can afford in any branded thing you want then why not? But being practical in any sense is not buying all what is branded. Brand names of a certain products can be programed and conditioned and not all branded product has good quality and last long as we expected it to be. Happy Mylotting!

Hello dynzdolina! Same as you i am also a brand-conscious because of the fact the Branded items said to have better quality features and functions. But sometimes some items that are not branded is better than branded. So i just bought something branded especially if its cellphone or any gadget like PSP`s.:)

yes some how you can say that i am, but in this discussion i want to give some of my ideas as a marketing manager of a software organisation.brand is nothing just a popular name or symbol or jingle and people suppose that it is associated with a quality product but here the question arise is in deed? may be but in many cases may not be.But yes,you can thrust a brand, believing that it must conscious to its brand core values and the quality associated with it.but still it depends.so my opinion is my must go for the real value for the money, not by a popular name.

I don't care if like my clothes or shoes are name brand because you can get the same thing for about half the price. What I get brand names for is food. I'm very picky about my brand of food because every company makes it different and I guess I'm sort of a picky eater. My daughter doesn't care bout brand names on anything. That's partly because she can't be choosey on her budget.

I don't have to follow brand names. I am more about the product instead. it doesn't matter what the name is as long as the product lives up to what it promises.

It depends on what I am looking at. For clothes, I don't mind the brand. But for electronics good, then I tend to look at brands with a better reputation. The same applies to big ticket items like car.

I am brand conscious but like you i'm a practical spender myself. I believe that I can save more money when I buy something of good quality, and I can only get good quality products from the branded ones. I really choose well and check the quality of the items that I'm buying before doing it. I'm not an impulse buyer, well except when I'm depressed, and I'm really good at choosing the right products with good quality.

I go for unbranded products of good quality because branded products are much much expensive & you can get almost same quality of stuff at very less price but you have to do little hard work in searching that stuff.
